Kelsey Lau Elkins

My wife was a patient at Advanced Pain and Spine. Due to a turnover with the medical doctors, my wife was assigned to Kelsey Elkins, Nurse Practitioner. The first few appointments went okay, although we looked forward to being back in the hands of an MD. Over time, we were shocked how calloused Kelsey became. From not listening to my wife, to ignoring our perspectives or opinions, Kelsey demonstrated an inability to cope with our concerns and emotional distress. She consistently demonstrated a lack of patience due our emotional distress of feeling like we were on quick sand. There was a total disconnect between her words and actions and my wife's medical treatment. Kelsey consistently reacted with anger, impatience, finger-pointing and gaslighting when frustrated. She doesn't know how to "see" the patient in front of her nor did she "hear" what we needed to say. After 12 frustrating months, dreading appointments and recuperating from the stressful fallout of continued gaslighting, we… found another provider. Upon discussion with a therapist due to the stress of what we endured, we came to understand that Kelsey is most likely a narcissist. She has free reign to exercise power and control over other people. She is in a position of authority and she uses her knowledge and expertise to manipulate and control patients, colleagues, and subordinates. As a side note, we witnessed a complete turnover in office and CNA staff twice over. Kelsey has free reign to treat patients however she sees fit as she is accountable to no one. We do not recommend her or that facility.
