Dr. Kenn Martin Kakosian I

My first office visit to Dr. Kenn Kakosian was specifically to get one cavity filled. He insisted on a full mouth X-Ray. When he reviewed the results with the red-headed nurse they spoke in what I assumed was Greek. I thought it was a bit odd and rude to discuss my x-rays right in front of me in another language. In hindsight I can only assume they were saying, "How much to do you think we can make off of him and his insurance"? He told me I needed root canal (surprise!) and he can do it in two visits starting immediately. Because I was in so much pain, I agreed. He completed the work, fitted me for crown and put a temporary crown in (all the while talking to the nurses in another language) and told me to schedule another appointment to put in the permanent crown. When I got to the receptionist, she wanted me to pay for the entire visit less what my insurance covered. When I asked her to bill me so I can pay it in installments, especially since the work had not been completed she… said they do not bill and gave me an application for a Visa dental card. By the next day, I already had received a bill in the mail for, I believe $500. I promptly paid $100. When I arrived for my next appointment, the waiting room was filled with no available seats. They obviously overbooked. I stood there for over a half an hour before they called even one person in. Because I was swamped at worked and had several meetings lined up for later that day, I told the receptionist I had to leave and wanted to reschedule. She seemed and annoyed and gave me attitude. A few weeks later I received another bill in the mail with a red sticker on it saying payment was delinquent. I don't believe it was even a month since I received my first bill but I sent another $100 anyway. When I arrived for my rescheduled 2nd appointment, again the waiting room was packed with no available seating. Infuriated I told the receptionist I was leaving and would call to reschedule. My intention was to never go back, call to see how much I owed for just the first visit, cut my losses and never go back. Before I was able to do that, the good doctor sent me to collections which I'm now fighting as they are trying to charge me for services I never received.

I made an appointment only to be turned away. Rude and unprofessional. Seeking restitution.
