Dr. Kenneth Ray Adams, MD

This breaks my heart to know my father's home health care was denied by Dr. Adams based on his thoughts that my father's health isn't going to improve and that he can hold out until hospice comes in to visit in 2 weeks. There was no consideration as to what the family is going through; primarily my father & mother. My father has suffered accidents at home due to Dr. Adams & his staff negligence. My mother didn't even receive a call stating they will be denying what REX hospital had already approved because the young lady said she didn't know how to tell my mother the news. Please tell me what caring person would do this. This is a place where you are supposed to get care. This is truly a poor representation of NC Medical Care. One would expect not only consideration for my father who is a stage 4 cancer patient to get some help especially since you are also receiving his money. This is bad on Boice Willis, and on NC Medical board. We will be pushing the envelope on this one

Sarcastic, critical of other doctors, would never go to him again.

Was very sick, could not get an appt., was told instead to go to the emergency room where I also got very bad care. Tried for an entire week to see Dr. Adams and still could not, ended up at UNC Hospital very sick. You cannot get good medical care here or anywhere else in Rocky Mount

I've always had good experiences with him. I've found him to be a caring man, interested in my health and willing to take time to talk with me.

Had a very bad accident, tried for a week to see him, shrugged me off, had nurse to call me back, would not take time to talk with me himself. Due to length of time it took me to get medical assistance was in very bad shape, this was in Sept., and still recouperating and this is Jan. Will never see him again. For illnesses such as colds, etc. he may do well but not anything major

Follow up is terrible, phone calls not returned, poor bedside manner, smirks at questions that are asked. Not used to be this way, not sure what his problem is at this point
