Dr. Kenneth Paul Blau, MD

I had a high-risk pregnancy and was seeing Blau’s partner Dr Whitcombe for my care. Due to very low amniotic fluid my son was stuck in the breech position which needed to be addressed. Since Dr Whitcombe had no experience (at the time) she asked me to have Blau help out with physically turning the baby. The procedure was VERY painful (internally !) so I asked him to stop, questioning the wisdom of doing this. In response he treated me so rudely telling me I didn’t have a say in this. But I didn’t put up with it and told him off for not respecting my needs and pain level and told him to take his hands off me. Literally he turned to my husband and complained to him about my statements saying, “do you let her treat you this way?” My husband very quietly (which is his style when he gets very angry) told him, “She’s the boss and she told you to take your hands off her. So take your hands off her!” Needless to say he was banned from treating me ever again. To the point that even if he was… the on-call Dr when I went into labor Dr Whitcombe would come in instead. There are other things that I could say about his poor treatment but read the other review that says he should have been reported.

I recently had a robotic hysterectomy performed by Dr. Blau, who is not my regular gynecologist. Being a little hesitant at first, after meeting with Dr. Blau I felt much more comfortable. The surgery went very well, my recovery was very fast and easy. I am 5 weeks post surgery and totally feeling back to normal.

Dr. Blau was a second opinion. I was facing major surgery and had been told that it could not possibly be done robotically and that my ovaries could not be retained. Although Dr. Blau did not guarantee that he would be able to perform the surgery robotically, he assured me that he could retain my ovaries. In the end, he removed a 5 pound tumor robotically and 15 minutes out of recovery , I felt better than I have in years. He is truly a gifted surgeon and I am so grateful to him

Wonderful doctor and surgeon. I would recommend Dr. Blau to my friend's and family. He is very thorough and a perfectionist. Don't listen to the negative reviews on here. Although each person's experience is their own I can tell you mine was positive and my care was outstanding.

I have been going to Dr Blau for over 20 years and he has been nothing but a kind, caring and a compassionate doctor. He has always took the time to talk to me and explain in depth anything about my heath. Dr Blau has delivered my first born in 1994 and have done several surgery's on me and my daughter. I feel very comfortable around him and would recommend him to anyone looking for a great OBGYN.

Dr. Blau is rude and condescending. He called me months after I was in his office to tell me about an alarming test result. He called me at my work and absolutely out of the blue. I went to his office right away. He was cold and not helpful. The lab results that he told me about should have given to me months before. When I asked to have the tests taken again, he called me back into his office to say that it must have been a lab mix up there was nothing wrong. Oops.

My experience with Dr. Blau and his office was perfect in every way. They got me in when I I was in extreme pain with a fibroid tumor and saw me asap . I then needed to have a hysterectomy and was home the same evening and on day two I am in no pain and everyone on his team from the office to the hospital was wonderful. He delivered my son almost 24 years ago and I have total trust in him and would recommend him highly!!

I've been going to Women's Health Associate for years and have always has a great experience except the one time I had to see Dr. Blau for a miscarriage. Not only did he yell at me for being 5 minutes late for a d&c (after being discharged from the ER that morning), he had the nerve to tell me that if I didn't want the procedure done I should have never made the appointment. As if I wanted to lose my baby! He is rude and unprofessional. He made comments that I couldn't even believe a doctor would say. It was a horrible experience.

I am 39 years old and have suffered from incontinence since the birth of my first child 12 years ago. I have been exercising more within the last year (weights, running, tennis etc.) and have been having "accidents". I was referred to a specialist by a friend, but before I inquired about the specialist, I had my annual female check-up and found out that Dr. Blau performed the urethral sling procedure. What a relief. I had my consult with him regarding my problem and I was extremely pleased. He was empathetic to my problem and explained in great detail the procedure and the pros and cons. He made me feel very comfortable and confident with my decision. He was concerned about me before, during and after the procedure. He treated my like family. I was so excited when I sneezed a few days after the surgery with my legs open (no crossing them) and nothing happened. I can do splits and sneeze at the same and no leakage! Yeah! Thanks, Dr. Blau!

I have known Dr. Kenneth Blau for over 10 years. He is a very thorough and competent physician. He always puts me at ease with his sense of humor and confidence. He is well known as the best gynecologic surgeon in the area. If you have a problem, go to him.
