Dr. Kenneth Richard Kilian

He's had a RN and a associate dr leave his practice recently, handled the switchover terribly. It's impossible to get ahold of him directly, he randomly cancels appointments through MyMercy without a call, and is terrible about approving refills.

Dr. Kilian has been my physician for several years. He is interested in my health and takes time to assess me and help me. I would, and have, recommend him to anyone needing a primary physician.

I had to change primary care Doctors because Dr. Kilian started acting like a dictator to me, and telling me if I did NOT follow his instructions and protocol, that I should probably find another PC Doc. Well, little did he know that I already did. From day one of seeing this guy, I have had problems with that office. I have to have regular blood draws to get my INR and PT levels checked. There has been as long a period of time as 13 days before they got back with me, and that was ONLY when I called them. Now, that in itself, had I had a blood clot, would have been enough for a law suit. But, now, since I told him that I was not going to increase the warfarin because I felt so bad on it, that's when his attitude changed. Funny how he didn't seem the least bit concerned about it before, and it's been at a much much lower level than what the last blood test showed. The office personnel are incompetent, they don't call you back for long periods of time, they don't answer the phone and… was told by an office employee that "oh, they weren't seeing patients that day and so they shut the phone off. What? The Lab where I go, sent them over two faxes, telling them that my standing order for blood draws had expired and they didn't hear back from them. The morning I went, and only then, did they say they "just" received it when I called them. That was a lie, I know it was, because they have lied before in the past. I trust the gal at the lab much more than this office. Never do you talk to the Dr. personally, and the gals at the office couldn't even tell me what the PT level was. There have been several times where I told THEM the "scoop" on things, that's how little they know. All these months have been nothing but a big joke as far as I am concerned and not only is this Dr. and office incompetent, but they could actually care less about patients and it's all about the money. IF they were so concerned, would they not get back to me within a day or two after the blood draw? I know for a fact that the Lab sends the info to them immediately after results, which is usually a day or less. As I said, I have had to call THEM and that's not my job, and I have waited long periods in between blood draws before I got results. By then, it was time for another blood draw. Now, does this sound like a concerned Dr.? I believe that he thinks if I don't take this rat poison in HIS prescribed doses, that he could get in trouble and be sued if I had a blood clot. However, it is MY choice to NOT take a higher dose, so I'd be the responsible one. As I mentioned above, he should have been more worried if I got a blood clot when they didn't report to me the results of the test and or give me instructions. NO WAY would I recommend him to anyone. I am not a Dr., but I would think it was very important to keep up with someone on blood thinners? Are there any good Dr's out there anymore or all they all just concerned with how much money they can make?
