He might be good dentist, practice is gorgeous but Denise person in there is the reason our entire family and friends have stopped going there.

I had a horrible experience with this dentist. Unfortunately I trusted him and agreed to the treatment plan he recommended (2 teeth, one with sensitivity that according to him needed a crown but definitely not a root canal). During the procedure I noticed that his hands were shaking, needed extra help from his treatment coordinator, apart from his assistant. Blamed it on my bite. The restoration he did didn’t help with sensitivity I was experiencing (though he assured me it would) and the tooth needed a root canal one year later. During the procedure he also did another tooth, but not the one I agreed to in the treatment plan. He claimed that this tooth had a cavity that was covered by the problematic tooth and supposedly not seen on X rays. I’ve seen two different dentists since then, none of them thought he wanted to work on need a new restoration. And the tooth he did because he supposedly saw a cavity there now needs a crown because he left a large margin. This horrible experience… cost me lots of $$$ and stress, it left me with dental anxiety and lack of trust in this profession. I also simply feel scammed.

Arrogant, histrionic, and ego driven are understatements for Dr Malament and his idea of patient care. Recounting my experience with him is appalling. Upon beginning treatment with Dr Malament he spoke to me less than 3 minutes, offering no input, room for questions or engagement, or a clear idea of what to expect going forward. When I communicated this concern to his treatment coordinator, she became immediately defensive stating " I'm great at my job" rather than offering the information and support that I was politely requesting. I chose to forgive these initial red flags due to their acclaim and assuming that there had simply been a miscommunication. However, this was misguided. On my initial surgery day, when Dr Malament was beginning to give me anesthetics his hand was shaking so noticeably that I was taken a back. Being a nervous patient, I expressed a moment of fear saying, "what is that shaking?" He became so unhinged by this statement that he stormed out of the… surgery room and stated on numerous occasions that " he has the best hands in the world" and that "every surgeon over 60 has shaking hands." Despite becoming scared and uncomfortable following being yelled at and spoken to this way prior to a major procedure, I decided to continue and understand that I had unintentionally offended him. I apologized and received no apology for how he reacted. The procedure was fine. However, he and his lab technician had difficulty creating temporary caps that were fitting my mouth. He referred on numerous occasions to not having read the chart or my previous documents prior to this surgery. Thus, I waited patiently for an additional hour while temps were re-created. I noticed that on numerous occasions that technician rolled his eyes at the doctor. Which was odd and uncomfortable for me to witness. During the time I was waiting, Dr Malament pulled me into his office while my two front teeth were off- obviously in an already vulnerable position- and proceeded to tell me that I had quote "guerilla teeth" and that when I left his office that day my teeth would look "awful" because of how difficult my case was. This is unforgivable for a doctor, specifically a cosmetic doctor, on so many levels. Not only did he say disparaging and hurtful things about my teeth as they were, but instead of offering comfort, support, and solutions, he proceeded to let me know that I would leave that day looking in his words, "awful." I have never heard a doctor speak this way to a patient or about his services and care. He continued to react impulsively and aggressively when I communicated discomfort with the outcome of the temps and stormed out saying "well, I guess I'm a bad dentist." On top of these dramatics, he pointed his finger at me and told me "HE had never been treated this way" and that there was "nothing more he could do for me or my teeth" It is clear that Dr Malament does not care about his patients in a genuine way nor does he have any kind of bedside manner, humility, or patience. To say that this was a bad experience is a huge understatement. I cannot believe that doctors like Dr. Malament can be considered "the best" when it is evident that he is sorely under qualified to be working with people. In addition, Dr malament is not professional. Throughout my treatment he walked in and out of the surgery room telling me different grandiose statements about my teeth and dental needs such as "maybe you have gum disease" and detailing conflict of ideas between himself and my periodontist. This kind of information should presented in a much more intentional and professional manner to say the least. I'm sure that Dr Malament has had the experience and expertise to get him to this point in his career and have achieved the acclaim he has. However, the experience I've had with him is clear evidence that not only is his ability as a doctor unclear with his heavily shaking hands, but his ability to work respectfully, kindly, and with a clear patient-driven approach is beyond lacking. Despite the ego of Dr Malament and his treatment coordinator, their nurses and his treatment assistant were professional, considerate, and patient driven. They are the only redeeming aspect of his practice. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist or doctor. I am positive that any good review he has are from longtime friends or colleagues. It's obvious that he is not in his right mind to be
