Dr. Kenneth Noel Schikler, MD

My son has Juvenile Arthritis. Although Dr. Schikler adequately diagnosed him, we have had problems with his rude treatment of both me and my son. The last straw was when my son got lost trying to find the office (he is now 20, but only his 2nd time on his own). We called and told him he was on his way up, but Dr. left because he has a 15 minute wait. My son missed it by 2 minutes. He had come to downtown Louisville from Shelbyville. If you choose him, don’t let him make you or your child feel inferior during visits. Be aware that his social skills are lacking, and he has rude tendencies. The office nurses are a blessing and have helped us get needed resources when he was slow to help. You need someone who is flexible during flare ups. This doctor is difficult to work with.

Amazing and blessed to have had this doctor who cares. Keeps a great sense of humor and knows the most about his specialty. very straightforward and has a kindness and willingness to teach. I am so very grateful to have met him.

he is very rude, has no bedside manners, and i don’t feel like he shouldn’t be a PEDIATRIC doctor.

My son began showing signs of arthritis towards the end of his Kindergarten year. We had a very trying summer trying to find answers and help for our son. We began with local doctors, then went to Riley. Dr. Schikler is the one who really began to get us on the right path and we are so very thankful for him. He is always very kind and comical with my son and also patient and takes his time with my husband and I. We will also be thankful for Dr. Schikler. My son has polyarticular JIA but is currently in remission from all medicines.

Wonderful doctor who finally diagnosed my child after many failed attempts by others. Doesn't treat you like a number and spends plenty of time with you. Good listener and great diagnostician!

Dr. Schikler is a very caring physician who shows a genuine interest in his patients and their families. His knowledge and expertise put patients and families at ease. He is very thorough during his examinations, and I feel like my child receives the very best of care with him.

HE needs to spend more time, answer my questions, and let me ask the rest of my questions

you said you could not help my daughter as you diagnosed her with myopathy muscle damanage now she has also been diagnosed with nueropathy damage as well if you would of treated her in the beginning maybe she would not be in the shape she is in now for there is days now she can not even get out of bed

My child was seeing his associate, but she was unavailble so we scheduled w/Dr. Schickler. He really knows his stuff. He knew immidately what was wrong. However, when he got to close for comfort to my child, she reacted and then his true colors came out. He was rude and yelled. He said he wouldn't treat until seen by a psycologist...all because my child asked him to back up and remove his hands from the throat area! We didn't go back.

I have Fibromyalgia, a disorder that doctors are just now starting to learn more about. I was diagnosed with it three years ago at the unusual age of 16. Dr. Schikler diagnosed me the first time he saw me in the ER after 3 years of being misdiagnosed. He worked with me so much and has helped me more than any doctor ever has!
