Dr. Kenneth Steidley, DMD
After graduating from high school, Dr. Ken Steidley entered the U.S. Navy and served for two tours in Vietnam. Following an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Dr. Steidley returned home and made the wisest decision of his life when he married Barbara, his high school sweetheart. They then moved to Monmouth Oregon where they attended Oregon College of Education. Barbara received her degree in elementary education, and Dr. Steidley was accepted to OHSU Dental School and graduated in 1979. Ken and Barb managed to raise three children, Nicole, Stephanie and Andy.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Steidley completed a General Practice Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center from 1979-1980. Following six years of general dentistry, Dr. Steidley completed a Periodontal Residency program in 1989. He retired from the Army Reserves in 1996 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Steidley has completed the requirements to become board certified in …Periodontology and currently holds Diplomate status in the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Ken Steidley moved to Longview and joined Apple Dental Longview in 1994. He continues to enjoy education by attending annual meetings and attending the Mt. St. Helens Shadow Study Club which is a branch of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Steidley is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Washington State Dental Association, Lower Columbia Dental Society and Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Ken Steidley has always had a high regard for Duty, Honor and Service. He has always focused on improving his knowledge and skills to better serve his patients. He firmly believes in the patient’s right to make an informed decision. Dr. Steidley strives to thoroughly explain all of the patient’s treatment options. After three decades of education and practice, Dr. Steidley enjoys focusing on the needs and concerns of his patients as they relate to the overall oral and general health.
