Dr. Kenneth Wald is an excellent Ophthalmologist. The other doctors who work with him are great too. I think they are all very committed to giving you the very best diagnosis on your Retina.

Is it worth waiting over 2 and1/2 hrs before you see a doctor?

Made a 7am appt to ensure that I get to my jury duty at 9am. I was supposedly the first patient and was not called for my workup until 7:40am. I asked the assistant when I would see the doctor. She responds oh he does not get in until 8:30 or so. Not acceptable. This office is really bad with waiting time etc. the first time I went I waited nearly an hour to be seen for my workup and then another 45 mins to actually see the doctor. I got to the office at that time at 3:20pm and left close to 6. Ridiculous. I will avoid and never go back again after tho final

this is an amazing doctor. he performed emergency surgery on my eye and you cannot even tell she had surgery just over 48 hours ago. he is professional and excellent. i would recommend him to any and everybody.

I had a VERY bad or NOT OK experience with Dr. Wald. It was the first time I had ever needed surgery in my life. I've been fortunate. The surgery for a detached retina went as well as could be expected, but he was totally unavailable before and after surgery. I didn't even know what surgery had been performed for days afterwards. He actually did not speak to me after he operated on me. He walked out of the room. I always waited hours to be seen post operatively. I was not given all of the drops I needed after surgery. He did not return a couple of phone calls. It was and still is a very traumatic event for me. He had NO time. He told me to email him and did not respond to my email when I DID email him.I think it's outrageous! I imagine that he is a good or great surgeon, but was totally unavailable.He told me that my eye is doing excellent....... when in fact, there is a spot or shadow that I will be seeing for the rest of my life where the retina was damaged I am a visual artist, so… this is very upsetting.Anyway, I didn't experience him as being caring/available

My appointment was for 10:30. At 11:30 I asked when it would be my turn, since the person who came in AFTER me was called in first. I was told that I was next, but that there were 10 other people (no, that's not a typo)ahead of me - people whose eyes were being dilated, etc. So I was looking at a one hour wait time, plus the 10 who were ahead of me, plus my own eye dilation. I didn't realize that I would be spending the entire day there. So I took my co-payment back and left. What a waste of time. Total lack of respect for my time as well. Will never go back and certainly will not be referring others!
