Dr. Kenneth Wayne Wells, MD

A while back I saw Dr. Wells for what was thought to be anxiety. He kept pushing heavy meds, increasing the dosage, and then adding new meds. After he prescribed me a 5th medication that completely sedated me, I went to see my PCP for a second opinion. It turned out that I was severely hyperthyroid and my chest pain was due to gallstones, not anxiety. Once my gallbladder was removed, my chest pain stopped. Dr. Wells was very rude and condescending. When I tried to explain to him that his treatment plan was not working, he accused me of being manic because I was more “vocal” than normal. I disagreed. He then pointed to his medical degree on the wall and said he has “MD” behind his name and I didn’t. I’m so glad I went to my PCP for a second opinion and stopped all of the meds Dr. Wells prescribed.

I took my daughter to this man when she was suicidal. He literally told her to "grow up". I almost lost her.

I have heard great reviews about Dr. Wells from current patients waiting on first appt. with him.

RUDE - KNOWS MORE THAN THE PATIENT

This doctor has absolutely no bedside manner. I blatantly hold him I was uncomfortable and felt that I had to be on the defensive with him. His response to that that "That is probably related to your emotional issues." Then since my husband and I are trying to conceive, he refused to prescribe me any medication until I was on birth control. Well, if he would have looked into my file and the comments listed by all physicians, I can not take BC due to the extra hormones that affect my mental stability. I was really looking forward to working with this doctor, however, he is uber conservative, no bedside manner, made me wait nearly 30 minutes for no reason, and he was just downright RUDE. Please save yourself the trouble of wasting your precious time and money seeing this doctor with such a God Complex. He should retire somewhere far FAR away from any individual contact with people.

This man is the worst doctor. Only wants is payment. Very ugly to talk to. Does not say anything related to your problem -- Go somewhere else!

Kevin (Therapist)was the best! But as far as Dr. Wells... I almost had anxiety attacks due to the dread of facing him. He curses and sizes you up before you walk into his office. Instead of asking you what's wrong, he tells you. Meds he perscribed to me made me want to die. As far as the office goes - privacy is not a concern. I found myself sitting in the waiting area so long that I discovered neighbors that wanted to know what I was here for and taking to compare with theirs.How embarrassing!

Dr. Wells spends just enough time to toss a Rx. at me and then like a cattle auction it's NEXT! He will not listen to problems with meds. or to feeling of sucide. His advise was-"you're a smart girl-You will figure it out." No change in meds. The next vist he didn't even asked if I was feeling better. I am trying to find another doctor but Due to insurance I have a very narrow field to choose from.
