Dr. Kent Farr Dickson, MD

I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery Dr. Dickson performed on my elbow. I only wish I'd done it sooner. For several appointments I requested to see Dr. Dickson (not a PA) and there was never a problem with that. Various staff members told me to feel free to jot down notes when I was given verbal instructions, which I did. I'm just so thankful to be back to my normal activities.

We had a terrible experience with a doctor at Orthopedic Associates. More specifically, with Dr. Kent F. Dickson and his physician's assistant Jose Rodriguez. A family member went in to have their hand checked and x-rayed. They had never had any kind of surgery or serious injury so they had some questions regarding the pain. The PA was incredibly condescending, scoffing at questions and saying they didn't “care” what choice was made regarding surgery or not. It was shocking and so the next day our family member went back to speak to the actual doctor over it. We expected a different result, but as soon as Dr. Dickson walked in, he threw his patient papers on the table and said he had been with his PA for 5 years and anything his PA said he was going to repeat. Our family member tried to ask questions regarding the possibility of surgery, but received condescending answers and sarcastic replies from Dr. Dickson. After the consultation, Dr. Dickson stood at the front desk and stared down… our family member until they walked out. The display of arrogance and discrimination was appalling. After all of that, to still stand at the front desk to try and intimidate a patient, who is already on the verge of tears for how they were treated. If you want to be treated with any amount of respect or human decency, you won't find any with Orthopedic Associates.

Didn't appreciate getting "baited & switched." Made appt to see Dr. Dickson, the hand surgeon, and instead, at appointment, they had his full-time assistant, a physician's assistant (not even an MD) meet with me. ZERO communication from office that I would be seeing a PA and not the actual surgeon.

All round great experience from scheduling to surgery. Would recommend doctor Dickinson hands down!!

Dr. Dixon is an easy person to talk to and will relate the nature of your injury to you in very easy to understand and down to earth terms. I highly recommend him.

From the first office visit through the surgical procedure, staff was friendly, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood the procedure and follow-up. They were professional and efficient in all the aspects of care.

From the front staff, all the way to the PA, Xray Tech, His surgical assistant and then the Doctor himself was very polite, made me feel good about my visit. Was caring and concerned about answering all of my questions before i left my appointment. Would recommend them to all of my friends and family.

I was diagnosed with arthritis of my shoulder, and an associate of Dr Dickson asked if I would like to see a shoulder specialist, and i agreed. I was given an appt with him. At my appt, anxious to understand the implications of arthritis in my shoulder, Dr Dickson did not bother to see me. I only saw his PA, who I felt was a bit arrogant. He told me I would need a replacement in the next several years but would need to go elsewhere because they didn’t do surgery there. This is a huge group of orthopedic doctors, and I later discovered some specialized in shoulder replacements. I left very upset, and yes a little angry that I paid for an appt that I didn’t get.

Dr. Dickson is quick with the mouth to do surgery. Went to him years ago and nothing has changed with his quickness to do surgery.

Dr. Dickson did carpul tunnel release on my right hand and a few weeks later did surgery to remove a mucos sisk from my left hand. I was very pleased with the whole experience. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Dickson saw me every visit and answered any concerns I had. I will recommend him to anyone needing care.
