Dr. Kent Lewis Wellish, MD

My appt was 1pm at the Box Canyon Dr and arrived 30 minutes early since I was advised to when scheduled. I walked up to the reception desk to ask a question and hoping I can hand her the paperwork given to me from my first visit in the Henderson branch. As soon as I opened my mouth she already interrupted me and told me she’ll call my name when they’re ready but she hasn’t even got my name. To make this short the receptionist was not helpful. She and the other employees were busy conversing about their personal life. It’s almost 230pm and I’m still sitting here waiting. This is frustrating!

I am sitting at Dr Wellish office and have been waiting over 2 hours past my appointment time. This is totally unacceptable for any doctor to expect you to wait this long.

Only trust Dr. WELLISH to examine you at his Office?. His associate JAY MATTHEIS is a complete idiot. My optometrist at Walmart caught my detached retina before he did. I heard Mattheis was not well respected in the community too.

Through no fault of his, we didn't get the results I'd hoped for. I was seen every two weeks for 5 months as we sought solutions. He went out of his way to make sure I could see on a trip to Europe in the middle of the process. He was unfailingly courteous, tried everything he could think of, and then, without me even asking, refunded my money because I was disappointed in the results. I was flabbergasted.

I can't rave about The Wellsh Eye Center enough! Everyone in there was beyond friendly while maintaining excellent professionalism! They took time out of their day, after office hours, to check on me personally. I had no complications with my Lasik. I can't believe I waited so long! I'm extremely happy with the results, the Wellsh Eye Center and each and everyone one of the staff. I would recommend them to anyone considering Lasik.

Dr. Wellish is a very caring eye surgeon who always provides the best possible care for his patients. He is very thorough and attentive. He invests in the best technology.

It takes a whole day to see if you have cataracts.

Waited for hours and hours staff rude no follow up and could not get answers the Dr. Has no class for making people wait so long!!

I took my mom here because he was on her insurance. 3 appointments and about 18 hours later we are looking for a new doctor. The wait is extremely long hours and hours. The doctor you hardly get to meet and they try to sell you on better surgery that your insurance doesn't pay for and all the time blaming Obamacare. We finally left and are switching to s new doctor.

Oh my goodness, this is the worst office ever. The doctor was almost 3 hours late to my appointment. They ordered every test in the book I think, charged my insurance a fortune and wanted me to go see a retinal specialist prior to having cataract surgery. (That doctor was great) I would not know Dr. Wellish again if I saw him as he spends seconds with you only after hours of testing and seeing other doctors. I decided with all of this that I needed to go to another doctor for my cataracts. I did and I am happy with that doctor too.
