Dr. Kenton Scott Sorensen, MD

Not a fan of this Dr I have had strabismus when i was born in my right eye and then amblyopia of that same eye since birth my strabismus was corrected when i was 14 with surgery to the muscles to fix it but my whole life i have been basically blind in my right eye i see blurred colors and vision is 20/1600 in this eye from back in 2010 i cant read or see numbers or see shapes its just blurred colors since day one i have been disqualified for being a marine a fire fighter a police officer and many other jobs due to my vision issue so now i work for washington state ferries as a deck hand i fight fires do rescue ops am a first responder do security loading and unloading vehicles and i cannot move up to become an able bodied seaman so my designation for the entirety of my career is ordinary seaman. as i have gotten older in the ferry system i have been yelled at pulled back from a firefight ran into walls because my vision in my left eye is getting worse so depth perception is becoming an… issue so iam trying to be exempted from firefighting because i feel i pose a danger to myself and my crew with my vision issue. i get a referral to see Dr Sorensen to get this exemption i take in all my work info and my last eye exam info to him in 10 mins he knows my issue and says he can significantly improve my vision in my right eye that i am basically blind in with the removal of a cataract on my eye and he beleives it will improve my vision enough to do the job with no issues i am stunned wow in my 42 years of age and being told by atleast 20 differant drs and specialists that im blind now this dr has found a cure and i was so stupid to have beleived them all until i met dr sorensen so he then asks me so what do you want to do i already know its about money so im already wanting to leave he doesnt care about me or what i am asking for so i say ive lived with it this long dont see surgery much changing anything so he says so you just want a letter and i said yes please so he gets up angry and storms out of the office days later he writes me a letter but not what i asked for he says that he thinks if i have the surgery ill be fine to continue in doing my job with no restrictions wow this dr is full of himself i will never go back here and will get a second opinion elsewhere looks like this guy just cares about money !
