She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Howard University in Washington, DC, a Master of Science degree at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Regis University in Denver, CO.She has 23 years of nursing experience, including eight years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.Kenya Smith has a special interest in integrative health and wellness, treating attention and focus issues, and substance use disorders. She is also the Assistant Program Director of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner programs at the Mervyn M. Dymally School of Nursing at the Charles R.
