Dr. Kevin Anderson, PhD

Dr. Anderson helped me when i felt lost and at my lowest point in life. He gently and without judgement helped me realize that i do have value. He was able to call on and awaken the spiritual part of me to regain joy in living. His creative use of poetry and stories tailored to my life struggles was a lifeline. Dr. Anderson provided me with insights and mental images that i could take with me throughout the day and night that lifted my spirits. His help improved my relationships with friends, family, and colleagues. Dr. Anderson’s non-judgmental acceptance of me allowed me to accept myself and begin loving myself. His insights into the mind body connection helped me reduce and eliminate physical discomfort that i suffered. It amazed me to feel healing take place physically. He is a wonderful therapist and a brilliant man.

I have worked with Dr. Anderson for several years and have always found him respectful, authentic, empathetic, and gifted as a therapist.

I have a very traumatizing grievance against this therapist and thus do not recommend him for consultation. Please heed a warning that he is willingly transgressive of boundaries and professionalism. He photographed me on his personal phone multiple occasions over sessions, invited me to a dual relationship, and after over a year of work, abruptly terminated me via e-mail, leaving me unable to ask questions and address concerns about my diagnosis. I was also in a very difficult crisis during that time and he disallowed contact. Sometimes the patient's issues are lost as he directs the time to himself, with oversharing and digressive monologues about the angst of his personal life. He has a habit of arrogantly boasting about his professional accomplishments, world travels, his money, and other life advantages. His behavior can be very narcissistic and he blames the patient... during my last session he raised his voice and accused me of "controlling his life" because my mental illness… supposedly interferes with his vacation time and I ran out in tears. I still need therapy at this point in my life and I have no will to seek further consultation with another professional out of fear of being retraumatized, as experienced with Dr. Anderson.
