Dr. Kevin Axx, DDS
EDUCATION
Dr. Axx is a graduate of the University of Rochester and State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed a year in General Practice Residency and a second year as Chief Resident at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY and received his Certificate in Endodontics from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Before moving to Arizona, Dr. Axx was in private practice in New York City where he was a founding member of the New York Academy of Collaborative Dentistry.  He moved to the Metropolitan Phoenix area in 2007.
Licenses and Dental Board Examinations
Dr. Axx is a Board Certified Endodontist having achieved Diplomate
status in the American Board of Endodontics in December 2010. He is
also a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the
American Dental Association, and The Arizona Dental Association.
Honors and Achievements
In 2006, Dr. Axx volunteered with the Virginia Dental Association's Mission of …Mercy to New Orleans, LA to provide Dental services to those affected by Hurricane Katrina.  For five days, Dentists from around the country provided more that 6,000 Dental procedures to anyone requesting them.  Dr. Axx has also participated in Dental Relief Efforts in Jamaica, and in national Give Kids a Smile Day activities.
Student Teaching Experience
Dr. Axx has taught as a visiting lecturer in Endodontic Surgery for the Postgraduate Program in Endodontics at Temple University.  He has taken extensive Continuing Education courses on Microsuturing and Surgical Techniques, Implantology, and cutting-edge research such as Regenerative Endodontics. He has also completed his own research on The Physical Properties and Machining Efficiency of various Endodontic instruments and is awaiting publication of his work.
