Dr. Kevin James Crosslin, MD

This is long but worth reading if you want a very real review. Disregarding the long wait times that inevitably occur at every visit that I’ve had after 1 pm, this practice is a major disappointment. In 2018, if I had reviewed this practice I’d have said it was worth the long wait times. I was healthy and pregnant and had no concerns other than how my baby was developing. My experience with this practice went so far downhill the moment I gave birth. A week before I went into labor I had an extremely horrific toothache. I couldn’t even eat. Dr.Crosslin gave me a consent form for dental care along with a list of approved medications. The dentist pulled the tooth and wrote me a script for an antibiotic and a pain medication. I took the pain medication the first day of the procedure and did not need it anymore so I put it away. A few days later, my water broke. They drug tested me and found the opiate obviously since I’d just been to the dentist. I showed them the copy of the consent… form signed by their physician and the original prescription bottle that only had 2 pills missing out of it. My baby was drug tested and his urine was negative, so it never even made it to him. They called CPS on me and I had to have them involved in my life for over a month. Why give consent if you’re going to call CPS??? Let’s jump forward a year. I had decided after my labor experience that I wouldn’t go back to this practice but they are the only ones in town. I began experiencing horrific pain in my vaginal area while running on a treadmill. This was on a Friday. On Saturday the pain was still there. So I decided to investigate and use my phone camera to see if something was wrong. I could clearly see something (obviously a pelvic organ) prolapsing out of my vaginal opening. On Monday I called and spoke to a nurse who scheduled me to be seen by one of the PA’s. I saw Ms. Trimble. She diagnosed a prolapsed bladder and UTI. We treated the UTI with antibiotics and she scheduled me to see Dr.Crosslin in 2 weeks time. When I saw him he did not conduct a full exam, I related to him that the speculum caused me pain. I told him how my quality of life was being diminished. He referred me to a urologist and said if I truly wanted the bladder sling surgery he’d do it at the same time the urologist did his part of the surgery. I felt relief to know I was being helped. At the urology appointment the doctor called Dr. Crosslin and dr. Crosslin said he wanted to see me one more time. I made the appointment for a week later. I was left in the waiting room for an hour. Then I was put into an exam room, where I was left waiting for 45 minutes. Finally I hear him outside my door and realize it’s finally my turn. But I also hear the nurse having to basically give him A pep talk to come into my room as he is complaining about how I want unnecessary surgery. He comes in and explains he doesn’t want to do the surgery. That prolapsed bladder doesn’t cause pain, and that the urologist agreed. I missed the day of university where we were told everyone experiences pain the same way. My bad. Anyway, I absolve to let him have his way. Maybe that’s not what is causing the pain. So I ask him what we can do to find the source of the pain. His reply was a rude snap back at me that “It’s not a prolapsed bladder!” Well what is it then? “You don’t Need surgery.” Ok. What can we do to find out why I’m in pain? Then in no uncertain terms goes on to tell me that the pain is psychological in nature and that I’m IMAGINING IT. Ladies, do not go tot his doctor. He is uncaring, untrustworthy, and a JOKE. I’m also making A complaint to the medical board as he refused to even consider investigating for the source of my pain and automatically blamed it on anxiety. Men have NO PLACE in female medicine. I will be driving to Lexington for my women’s care from now on just so I can have a female doctor who understands female issues.

i recently had to take my mother to hospital and dr. crosslin seen her. i was so impressed with his profesionalism and care. i felt so fortunate that we got him for her care!!!! thank you dr. crosslin
