Dr. Kevin Joseph Egan, MD

I seen this Dr for the first time last week and left in tears. This man did not take my condition seriously at all. He did not order the appropriate tests to diagnose me. I went for a second opinion with a wonderful Dr who was able to diagnose me. Dr egan misdiagnosed me and missed 3 important findings on my films. This is terrifying! If I had followed Dr egans plan I might have been in worse shape thand I started. Please do not see this Dr.

I saw Dr. Egan for a foot fracture. I was a little afraid from some of the reviews, but once I met him, I think his personality is just misunderstood. There is nothing unfriendly about him - he just has an extremely dry sense of humor. He answered every single one of my questions. I felt like he spent a good amount of time with me. The answers to a lot of my questions as my injury began to heal were to move, exercise, etc. as long as my foot didn't hurt me - maybe not the concrete answers I was looking for. Still, I do not think he deserves some of the bad reviews on here, so I was encouraged to write my experience. The office is clean and the staff was very friendly.

Not to impressed but this was only my first visit but I came away thinking that this Doctor does not have a clue to my type of seizures that I have but I my be to fast to judge.

If he's not your doctor, you are treated poorly and almost disrespectfully.

this guy is very unaware of Epilepsy treatments and the latest research that has been done in this field. The first time that I saw him I came out of his office thinking that this guy should not even be treating Epilepsy as all he wanted to do is try the same treatments that I have had in my past,and when I gave him my info on what type of Epilepsy that I had he was in the dark as he tells me that he has never heard of them before. I told him that I was in the first set of experimental surgery's to treat Epilepsy back in the 70's and 80's so it is not like other Doctors have not tried everything before and like I stated before and he was unaware of this type of surgery also. when it come's down to him listening to me and giving him info about me it was like I was educating him in his own field of treatment. After all of this he say to me do you really want to treat these small seizures!but when is come's down to it this type of seizure look very small on the outside but are known to… be much more destructive to one's brain then all other's. back in the 70's/80's when I had the Surgery for Epilepsy I told him about how I set a record for the largest seizure ever recorded as I was monitored on video 24/7 and he responds back like Hum I never new that there was even a surgery like this treat Epilepsy.

The moment I met Dr. Egan he took a personal interest in me as a patient not a pathology. During subsequent visits to plan the procedure, a tenodesis, he was incredibly attentive to my every question and concern. He treated me with respect and as a partner in planning the procedure. Dr. Egan is a self-confident man with a sense of humility. He was never dismissive, arrogant or condescending. I asked: What outcome could I reasonably expect? Although he had warned me that a surgeon could never guarantee success I could reasonably expect that it would be the same as it was before. Six months later, my strength and appearance had virtually returned to pre-trauma conditions. Dr. Egan even took care to place the scar strategically in the folds of my skin so that it is practically invisible. I am tremendously grateful to Dr. Egan and his wonderful staff. Dr. Egan is an extraordinary surgeon and a fine person; I would recommend Dr. Egan to anyone who is in need of superior orthopedic services.

Do NOT go to this awful doctor - he actually HURT me and reinjured my injury during the exam. He does NOT listen and talks over you. He is the WORST doctor that I have ever seen in 20 years. If there was a zero star rating - that is what I would give him.

Was treated rudely by office staff who rolled their eyes because I had to fill out the paperwork at their desk as my pain did not allow me to sit. The Dr. then proceeded to have me walk back and forth twice and promptly stated it was not sciatic (herniated disc). When I asked how he knew that and what the symptoms for sciatic were he replied "the symptoms you do not have." He was rude and finished and repeatedly said "take your time, take your time" which really meant get off the table and out of my examing room. He then proceeded to write me a prescription for physical therapy for muscle spasms. After 3 days of physical therapy, I spasmed so badly was taken by stretcher and then ambulance to ER. Finally an MRI was done and the herniated disc he was so sure I didn't have was revealed. My follow up visit with him with the MRI and report was worse than the first. He spent 3 minutes with me and wrote down the names of some other doctors on the back of gauze bandage and again said,… "take your time, take your time"--meaning leave now. I paid this man for 2 office visits that totalled no more than 10 minutes. My advice--RUN!!!! (if you don't have a herniated disc an can manage to do so.) There's even more but in the interest of time and space I hope anyone who has read this far needs nothing else.

Dr. Egan listened to my concerns and took them seriously and relieved my pan quickly. How could you ask for anything more!

Dr. Egan has a pronounced chip on his shoulder. He has a high opinion of himself and very low opinion of others; looks down on physical therapists. Getting past his arrogance makes it hard to determine if he is competent. Abruptly and rudely is how he conducts himself.
