Dr. Kevin Enger, MD

I have no real issues with the Drs when I can get in to see them, but you have to get past the 'guards at the desk'. Had history of kidney failure. Primary Dr found hydronephrosis in kidney and extreme pain due to blocked ureter and tried to get me in to see Dr Enger to get the fluid drained so I had no further kidney damage. They said I could wait 3 weeks. I did. When I got there, did not see the dr since he had an emergency so his assistant said very reassuringly that they would take care of me and not to be so upset. He took me to the receptionist and told her to schedule me asap. She tried to schedule me 3 weeks out and I broke down in tears. No reaction except annoyance and a response of "Well, I had to double book to even get you in then." I went straight to the E.R where they hospitalized me and found I have a rare disease that grows and wraps around the ureters and aorta and some arteries. Got a stent. It didn't feel right. Called receptionist to get in to have the dr check it.… She argued with me that I needed to get results from a specialist first...I said 'not for this'. Nope, we won't see you without results from them. Two days later I ended up back in the hospital because the stent came out. Required another surgery. I witnessed a lady in a wheelchair come in and tell the receptionist her Dr had sent her straight there and had spoken to Dr Enger himself and gotten the order to bring her in. Receptionist argued with her for ten to fifteen minutes that they wouldn't see her without an appointment. The lady became very distressed....Dr Enger just happened to pass by and told them to bring her right back, that he had spoken with her Doctor and was probably going to have to admit her. I have had to miss my last appt due to severe ear infection, and they were polite about that...so I will give credit on this point, since I know last minute cancellations can be a big issue in some offices. Just a bad situation since Dr Enger is good and so are the other medical staff on his team, but there is at least one receptionist who has no empathy or sympathy whatsoever....I def could have used a little patience when standing there bawling in pain.....

Dr Enger was EXCELLENT

Dr Enger is a great provider of care. I have a very rare disease and he is outstanding at helping me to get through it.

I have been going to Dr Enger since I was referred by my primary for over 4 years. He is always honest, straight forward (even if it is not what I want to hear). He is extremely thorough when making a diagnosis. And is patient when answering questions. Excellent, Excellent doctor.Sincerely,Bob P
