Dr. Kevin D. Hardt, MD

I had an appointment with him, upon the recommendation of a friend who had surgery by him. When I went into the appointment, he barely acknowledged me, and was rude and dismissive. Just one example: I brought in some x-rays and MRIs that I had taken at another facility, and I asked if you wanted to take a look at those. His exact response was, " I'm sure they say you need a hip replacement." Maybe I caught him on a bad day, because as soon as he came into the room he just let out a heavy sigh like he was overwhelmed. After telling my friend of my experience with him, she said she never would have gone to him had he acted like that with her. As it turns out, I went to another northwestern doctor who totally screwed up my head. Dr. Hart might do a good job, but I think it depends upon how rushed he is. Either way, I didn't feel confident with somebody that rushed doing my surgery. I think all of the doctors at northwestern are that way, based on my results.

Dr Kevin Hardt is an excellent surgeon and all-around great doctor. I recently had a total knee replacement with Dr Hardt at Northwest Memorial Hospital in Chicago IL. My homecare team asked, who did your knee? He did a great job on the incision. I told them Dr Hardt and they said we have seen many of his patients and he does an excellent job. I was on crutches for 2 days and up walking around since. The rehab has gone well and 7 weeks later I was released to go golfing and whatever else I am ready for. My knee looks and feels great. Dr Hardt listen to your ever concern and addresses every issue, he is an outstanding Doctor.

Im a 61 year old male patient. At first i was hesitant to use Dr. Hardt since i was provided many other doctors referrals to perform my left hip surgery whom have a much larger amount of surgeries behind them. Dr. Hardt has a very youthful appearance. He explained the procedure to me and has an excellent staff behind him at northwestern. They are all well trained and know what they are doing. Dr. Hardt did an excellent job and i had no problems from the surgery. He performed himself both post ops and again explained them quite well. He runs on time pretty much and the incision he made was quite small and the surgery went fine. I am walking without a cane or crutches after just 6 weeks after the surgery. don't be misled about his youthful looks, this guy is the best.

I trust and recommend Dr. Hardt for any one that has experience any knee problems, Dr. Hardt is God sent, he make you feel comfortable and at easy about your surgery,and to top it All off. The staff at Northwestern Memorial are also a Phenomenal Team! Thank You Dr. Hardt !

I saw Dr Hardt today for a serious knee problem...I am older and continue to play too much tennis. His read on my mris and xrays was quick, clear and right on target. A surgeon, he was not driving inevitably to surgery, rather taking the time to assess where I was on the continuum which might lead to it. He gave me a cortisone shot. I said, reflecting on his analysis of my issues...I guess I will know when I have to have surgery. And in his simple and professional way, he said, yes you will. Glad I saw him.
