Dr. Kevin Andrew Hicks, MD

Numerous calls for months and never recieved any of my medical records or diagnoses. The front desk girl said they accepted optima family care Medicaid well months later after many appointments I’m hit with bills because they do not! He is nice but this place is grimey to take from the already sick and poor. I will be telling everyone about this.

Unfortunately not all professionals deserve it, that is included K.Hicks md. Gentlemen with good people skills and medical license not always qualified to be a good doctor. Knowledge and practice make a doctor. Right diagnosis, appropriate treatment, intelligence and last but not least good choices in supporting staff in my opinion is the most important part of running medical practice. Before you schedule your appointment check this doctors experience, place of fellowship, publications (certainly this doctor have none), and his staff license (nurse must have license and not a hairdresser license). You trusting your health to someone, let it be a good Doctor. Doctor with a capital letter not just shmuck who wanted only your money.

This Doctor is very thorough, hears as he listens to his patient and is very respectful. The front office is also very kind and respectful. I He appears to be very trustworthy in his diagnosis and treatment. Everything I was looking for in this specialty. Highly recommend Dr. Hicks!

I was diagnosed with RA by a very highly respected doctor in Midlothian. I then go to Dr. Hicks who continues the same medicine I had been given by my previous doctor. No blood test or anything was ever done......1 year later after I first saw Dr Hicks and 3 or 4 more visits.....I get a phone call from Dr Hicks who says he doesn’t think I have RA. I ask for explanations and all I get is I never thought you had it. So for a year he prescribes me a medicine that can cause liver problem and see me and bills me and my insurance but doesn’t and hasn’t thought I had RA. No test had been done for him to out of the blue decide this! I’m very confused! Told me I needed to find a new doctor. Very unprofessional!

Seemed very interested in what I had so say. Courteous, polite, professional.. I see him again in 6 weeks.. At this juncture, I am impressed.

I love dr Hicks, he shows that he cares for his patients. What I like most about him is, he doesn't slack on finding out what the problem is, he listenand he asks and aallows you to ask questions, that there is a sign of a good doctor who cares about his patients.

I am a retired RN and this is was my first visit with Dr. Hicks and I was thoroughly impressed with him. He took his time, fully answering any questions I had and explaining in detail his recommended treatment. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hicks to anyone with medical problems related to his field of practice.

Dr kevin hicks is the worst doctor I haver EVER had in my life!!!! He doesn't lesten! He is uncaring and unkind! He has the worst attitude for a human being let alone a doctor! I wish I could stand outside his office to tell ppl to run home and find another doctor! I attend a support group for my RA and his name has came up in discussion with others in the group who have said he was rude, and a few things I can't truly say because of the horrid words used! Please for the love of god, out of respect for yourself, and for all that is good in this world .... Do not go with dr kevin hicks as your doctor!!!!!!!! Please please please please!!!!!!

DR HICKS IS GREAT, HE LISTENS AND DOES NOT RUSH YOU,HE ACTULLY CALLS YOU BACK HIMSELF.GREAT PERSONAILTY.

I've been seeing Dr.Hicks for over a year and yes, sometimes appointment times are hard to get. Sometimes I wait for him. But I understand why. When you get in to see Dr. Hicks himself, he is a caring, professional that will sit and listen to your problems and try to work with you to make you better. I have never been treated rudely by his staff and NEVER by him. He is the best and I would highly recommend him.
