Dr. Kevin Joseph Kohan, DO

My experience with Dr. Kevin Kohan was extremely disappointing. I felt that my concerns were not adequately addressed, and I had concerns about the accuracy of the information provided during my visit. I would recommend seeking care from a different healthcare provider who may be more knowledgeable and attentive to patient needs

Typical worker's comp doctor who has sold his soul to the government. Makes his money by denying care to the injured worker on behalf of the state. I've been medically retired for 8 years with "lifetime" future medical care for my injuries. I can count on one hand the procedures which have been approved (less than five fingers worth). They have no problem approving drugs, but actual care is not an option. These are doctors who have never seen you as a patient making your medical decisions.

I’m a patient if Dr Kohan. He is great. I have chronic back pain and without him I would not be working now. He’s excellent

Dr. Kohan works for insurance companies with the sole purpose of denying medical care for patients even though it meets treatment guidelines. He forgot that he went to DO school to help people and instead chooses to do the dirty work of insurance companies. His reviews are works of fiction and overall a joke. Having to deal with individuals such as Dr. Kohan makes me lose faith in the inherent goodness of humanity and the overall future of healthcare in this country. There must be better treating physicians out there who care about the health and well-being of patients.

I would highly recommend going to a professional who believes in Ethical Doctors standards. Hard to justifying going to a so called pain Doctors who works against people.

Avoid at all cost; does not listen; serious factual problems with his paperwork and conclusions.

This "doctor" is used by insurance companies to deny treatment to disabled people.

I'm happy with his care. NS compassion it is unusual to find Docs like that anymore

Could Not Make It So Sold His Soul To Insurance Companies. Does Evaluations on Patients Just Looking to Be Treated Fair. But He Writes Reports In Favor of Insurance Companies fro Profit. Has No Experience in to Illness but Writes Report Anyway. That is not a Doctor, that Corruption. See You Soon

Dr Kohan was very condescending talking down to me like I was a drug addicted idiot not having any idea what I was talking about he just dictated his authority as if his word was gods. I've been in acute & chronic pain with depression and permanent nerve damage for 10+ year's now I didn't ask for my situation I was in a accident and after 3 surgeries and countless other procedures I've become quite knowledgeable in the area's of my condition and what causes my pain I'm not saying that I have any where near the knowledge Dr kohan has in treating pain management and my condition after all he is the doctor and I am not but to be treated like a lying drug addicted fool in our first meeting ever I was just down right appalled by Dr Kohan's attitude. I specifically choose universal pain management for the atomsphere and attitudes of their entire staff and doctor's at this facility I have never encountered a doctor's office with such a caring professional atmosphere then one day I was seen by… Dr Kevin J. Kohan and WOW is all I can say just a complete 360 turn around from the rest of the doctors, nurses, staff, ect. Yes he maybe very knowledgeable but he did not give me the opportunity to make that decision in this 1st meeting however that did not make up for this asttitude in this particular incident if this his normal bedside mannerism I rather go back to my previous pain management dr who's only issue was him being socially inept and not trying to help me with my symptoms now my very long winded spew and all my other in counters as mentioned above thus far UPM is truly amazing except for maybe Dr Kohan maybe was having a trying day and I do believe in 2nd chances and hope his attitude is adjusted so I can continue to have exceptionaly wonderful treatment there but it is going to be hard pressed to get over the 1st condescending egotistical attitude experience just because he is intelligent in his field does not give Dr Kohan the right to treat anyone the way he did wow I'm upset I can always tell because of my continued rant on the way Dr Kohan treated me. If I wanted to get high there are much easier ways to get drugs as well as much cheaper ok I apologize for my long winded spewing I just had to get this off my chest and possibly warn others if you must encounter this doctor. so Dr. Kevin J. Kohan if you ever read these reviews I am extremely disappointed in you and hopefully never get treated the way you spoke to me again so here's to 2nd chances and the ability to make it up to me and all of your patients and if it goes that horrible wrong again Dr Kohan I can go elsewhere for treatment and say adios to you it's just very disappointing that you could leave such a strong impact in such a short time that all the good people who need treatment could potentially miss out on a wonderful experience in the world of pain management. Well here's to hoping Kevin J. Kohan DO just had a bad day and the next experience with you is completely different from the last time
