Dr. Kevin G. Lax, MD

Under the care of Dr. Lax, my husband was sent to Doylestown Hospital for a tilt table test. For whatever reason Dr. Lax cancelled his follow up appointment. When I finally contacted him regarding the test, He said there were abnormal results. When I asked what they were and what to do about them else seemed disinterested. He was on a speaker phone and kept asking me the same question over and over again while he was walking around the room. I respectfully told him I had just answered his question and again asked how to help my husband. He abruptly said that we had no working relationship and to find another doctor and hung up. After I put in several complaints about him he sent me and our primary a letter stating the I had a problem with HIM and if I had any questions to contact him. There are several good comments here, maybe he was having personal or mental problems.

Dr Lax was my mother's cardiologist until our family realized how verbally abusive and bullying his behavior was to her. He repeatedly berated her for asking "too many questions" and for worrying about her heart disease and for questioning the accuracy of the medications he was prescribing her. She was having stomach aches and dread before each appointment, and the breaking point was a phone call in which he started screaming at her for being a difficult patient. He was grossly unprofessional, demeaning, and condescending to her. We advised her to find a new cardiologist at a new office. Hampered by location, and the fact that she lived in a rural area, his office was the "only game in town." Lax's aggressive, argumentative, combative behavior even extended to my father and other family members. And worst of all, Lax could not have cared less for the quality of care or continuity of care for my mother. I have concluded that PA is so desperate for doctors, and so poorly regulated,… that they allow anyone to practice medicine, regardless of competency or adherence to the Hippocratic Oath. In the alternative, Lax has friends in high places who turn a blind eye to his boorish behavior towards patients.

Can't say if he is a good doctor. My husband was sent for tests months ago and still can't get any answers.

Dr. Lax has been my Cardiologist for the past eight years. He is both a proficient and compassionate physician. During every appointment, he conducts a comprehensive examination, and most importantly takes the time to listen to my concerns and completely answer my questions. As the result of Dr. Lax's exceptional medical care, I continue to enjoy fine cardiovascular health and would highly recommend Dr. Lax to any patient seeking a highly qualified Cardiologist.

Really like the pragmatic advice he provides, you can actually accomplish an upgrade in your cardiac health. He is also a great listener and that is as important as being a stellar knowledgebase.

Dr. Lax has been caring for my mother for over 10 years and he has taken wonderful care of her. She has atrial fibrillation and is elderly and he is very kind and patient with her. She looks forward to seeing him at her visits. He is an outstanding cardiologist and is very caring and personal in his approach. I highly recommend Dr. Lax without any hesitation. His staff is also excellent and efficient and he is able to do diagnostic testing in his office which is convenient..
