Overrated

He removed a benign tumor from my right frontal lobe on 12 12 2018. I am extremely satisfied with his expertise. I was in good hands. He is the best. Ginny

I have been seeing Doctor Lillehei since 2002. He has an amazing bedside manner, makes sure you fully understand the scope of his recommendations and takes the time with you as an individual to answer any/all of your questions.

Dont get seen by doctor and trainees instead. Very overrated

I was told to go here but thought he is rushing. Big decision when you have cancer. Decided to get treated in Houston instead

Thoughtful with excellent bedside manner

I had a recurrent brain tumor and 3 other Neurosurgeons indicated that I needed to have brain surgery again and follow up with radiation. Dr. Lillehei and his team took the time to really understand my situation and history and proscribed an approach of radiation first, and only surgery in the unlikely case that radiation was not totally effective. Radiation worked perfectly and may have saved my life as I don't know that I could have survived another surgery. Dr. Lillehei personally took the time to explain why he was recommending the approach felt it has a strong chance for success, as well as his personal experience and knowledge of the particular tumor. He spent as much time as I needed and answered all my questions. His treatment plan was a success and I am at ten years out with no sign of recurrence - all without another surgery. I would also add that the PA I worked with, Colin is top notch as well. While I understand my situation is unique to me, I would whole… heartedly recommend that if you are in need of neurosurgical care or opinions to speak with Dr. Lillehei, maybe he can make the same difference in your situation.

Hospital has a good looking website but the hospital patient care not as good as website

Dr. Lillehei is without a doubt the best doctor in history. It almost seems unreal to have a nice, caring, considerate, down-to-earth, loving, genius doctor as he is. He walks you through everything, every step of the way in terms you can understand. And I hope he has insurance on those hands. He has performed 2 brain resections on me for a stage 2 mixed glioma tumor and I'm about to have a 3rd surgery with him. I wouldn't trust any other doctor to do it. He truly is a miracle worker. He saved my life twice and soon a 3rd time, so he is definitely a superhero!
