Dr. Kevin Patrick Mclaughlin, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. McLaughlin for over 3 years and he removed a cancer from my bladder three years ago. He is a great doctor and I really like him. I do have a negative to give, however. Last year the doctor started doing all his in office procedures in what they are calling their SURGERY CENTER, which is just an extension of their office just down the hall. The Cystoscopy that I have to have often because of the cancer removal only cost me $50 copay until they moved to the surgery center. Now the exact same procedure that doesn't require anything different than before, now costs $325 out of pocket instead of the previous $50. That is like having your oil changed at the same place for years for a charge of $50, then all of a sudden the mechanic says I'm going to use the bay next to the one I've been using, but I'm going to charge you $325 for the exact same oil change. If you don't like it you can go to another mechanic in another town.

This comment is for the PA Lisa Capps at this practice & not specifically for Dr. McLaughlin. One star is only so I can post. Rather it be -1 (minus) one star. Beware. Physicians or FNP, BC (don't know what that stands for but I think it's a Physicians Assist) tried to herd me through like a cattle count. Refused to give me an antibiotic for my UTI while there, but called it in later, forcing me to have to return to the drug store in a snow storm. Lindsay Capps, PA seems to want to limit time spent with patient to make more money. She must have sensed my displeasure as I received a dismissal letter from Marc Morin, Office Mgr. Also presecribed medication for urinary pain relief costing $83.79 which the pharmacist pointed was available over-the-counter for $14.13. Beware if you're on a fixed retirement income as they only care about their profit. I'm a retired business owner of over 25 years & would not have lasted if I had treated my customers like they treat their patients.

Wonderful doctor, wouldn't go anywhere else.

I brought my 5 year old son in to see Dr. Mclaughlin. He had the best bedside manners with children. He explained everything thoroughly to me about the surgical procedure that we had to have. I left the office with a wonderful feeling of my 5 year old undergoing a big procedure. His staff was very nice as well.

He was very nice. He came to the er at 11 pm. Really did all he could for my husband. Will definitely recommend this doctor.
