Dr. Parzych is the doctor for Sydney Creek Dementia and Alzheimers Care Home in San Luis Obispo. My father stayed at Sydney Creek beginning the end of March 2017 and Parzych was his primary care physician there. When my father arrived I informed both staff and the doctor that my father had been treated for mild anemia by his prior physician in L.A. and was taking iron pills. Parzych was dismissive at the time to my concern. As my father weakened over his 7 month stay at Sydney Creek I kept bringing up the anemia and requested blood work which was never done. Parzych insisted his weakness and passing out was not due to anemia. In fact Parzych refused to send him out to have blood work done because it was too difficult for the staff since my father does not walk well. Ultimately my father was admitted into the hospital with profound anemia and required a blood transfusion the beginning of November. He died two days after Thanksgiving of this year.

He is funny and he gives the impression that he really does care. My mom avoided doctors as much as possible, but Dr. Kevin (as she called him) was the exception. He built a really good rapport with her and when she died, I saw that it affected him.

Dr. Parzych is an exceptional physican-he is caring, generous with his time, and an outstanding doctor. I recommend him without hesitancy and am confident of his professional skills.
