I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2017. I was referred to Dr. Powell. Not only did he remove every single cell of the cancer, and performed my mastectomy, he saved my life. He is only 1 of 2 surgeons I trust absolutely with my life. He is an amazing doctor. I would recommend him whole heartedly.

Needed to get my gallbladder out and was refereed to Dr. Powell. Surgery took half the time that was expected and I was back on my feet the next day with minimal discomfort and pain. Very professional and is direct and to the point. He made sure to spend time with me and update my wife in person as needed. He and his staff took all precautions to ensure a safe and good result.

I went into the ER with a ruptured colon earlier in the year. Dr. Powell was my treating physician and did an amazing job. I coded on the table for two minutes and he brought me back. Never gave my husband false hope, was always honest but always delivered news in a caring way. He has a fantastic bedside manner and is one of the few doctors I completely trust. I definitely recommend Dr. Powell for any procedure you may have.

Rude doctor who doesn't treat patients with basic respect. In my few visits with him for a routine surgery I had Doctor Powell laugh in my wife's face for bringing up concerns post op, rolled his eyes at me when I brought up my concerns, and in both of my visits AND my surgery itself I never had a name, I was "Young Man" and got the same rehearsed response on any interaction to give nonanswers to any question to dismiss any and all concerns. Day one I won't expect you know who I am, but when you have my charts directly in front of you over the course of a month and you decide not to bother with the bare minimum and pretend you care or at least respect your patient. You get the feeling your presence is an annoyance and that you don't matter as a patient. Dismissive and rude is one thing, but to top it off trying to get in touch took at the shortest 2 days, at the longest 3 days, so don't expect any help or reasonable response from this absentee doctor.

Professional, patient, kind and extremely thorough. Gallbladder removal (emergent) - was very informative and answered all questions. Caring. 2-week follow up was quick and easy - no waiting as he and his staff were running right on time.

Dr Powell performed an abscess removal surgery in 2017 he did an excellent job.

Dr. Powell was awesome with my surgery and care. great follow up and fabulous personality.

I waited in the back room for no more than a minute! The staff was excellent and friendly. I would highly recommend to any member of my family.

Dr. Powell recently performed gallbladder surgery on me. From my initial visit to my post surgery follow up visit, Dr. Powell was the epitome of professionalism. He was warm, courteous, and friendly. He described the procedure, explained what to expect, and answered all my questions. He spent as much time with me as was needed and never left me with the impression that I was taking up too much of his time.
