Dr. Kevin Strong, MD

Compassionate and loving, loved his care.

This individual, I will not even give him the respect of calling him a physician, has been treating a family member of mine for addiction recovery for only three months. During these short three months after he has taken over her care, I have never questioned or been more concerned about her progress in recovery, which she has been working on for years. She is very open about her addiction and I understand it can not be easy working with individuals in recovery. It takes a certain type of person that shows respect, dignity, compassion, and basic human understanding to successfully work with people in recovery to achieve their recovery goals. I can not emphasize enough how much Kevin Strong does not demonstrate any of these qualities. I personally feel that a person who choses to work with individuals in recovery should have the basic understanding of the appropriate process an individual needs to take to achieve the ultimate goal of recovery. Kevin Strong has shown me as a concerned… family member that his inability to care for my loved one and treat her addiction like any other disease, has lead me to the point where I am concerned for her life. I am no doctor by any means, but I know that completely stopping and not tapering certain medications can lead to a handful of medical complications including death, this is where my concern lies with having Kevin Strong work with any individual that is seeking help for addiction.

Our pediatrician left the practice and we were left with Dr. Strong who on the outside, seemed great! His bedside manner is good until you start your appointment and then EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING becomes about his anti-sugar campaign. My infant didn't have a cow milk intolerance, it was sugar and he doesn't need milk! He progressed to a toddler with the same symptoms and it was sugar and he doesn't need milk. But my kid couldn't have cheese, yogurt etc! He provided no alternatives that were kid friendly just went on about his sugar campaign. My 4 year olds daytime wetting was "bad behavior" and again...NO SUGAR. Then it was she's getting too much milk. I could go on! The point is... DR STRONG IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH HIS ANTI SUGAR CAMPAIGN AND GETTING PARENTS TO STOP GIVING THEIR CHILDREN MILK!!! My son is cow milk intolerant and lactose intolerant. My daughter was suffering from some kidney issue...so mad!

Dr. Strong evaluated my child and gave me a diagnosis of "mis-behaved" and needs discipline! My child was later diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, has since gotten the proper medical interventions and is now doing great! I would not recommend this physician to treat a dog.

I noticed on the SEPTA website that someone gave them a good rating. I am sure they are very nice with some patients where there is obviously a developmental delay. But if its not obvious Dr. Strong sits somewhere between clueless and witless. Very nice of course - but find a good pedeiatrician if you think there is something amiss with your child. The Dr. is not well versed. His care could put you back years if there is a developmental issue with your child. I found out the hard way - not once or twice but a dozen times asking what do you think is wrong?? Dr. Stong - "He'll grow out of it" Now a full autism diagnosis. Insipid Malpractice.

Bad news is that unless there is blood coming out of your eyes, take two aspirin. In this case, Dr. Strong made a serious and bad wrong diagnosis - could've led to serious effects. Luckily a neighbor is an MD and saw the classic symptoms that Dr. Strong somehow didn't see that I was showing him. Called him for a script to fix it - he gave us the wrong dosage. A basic website told us differnt and when we called...oh yeah...COlds n' Hay Fever. Otherwise you're taking a risk with your child's life. Remeber - this practice does not want to give antibiotics - Reason - Hysterical parents; Casuing Super-bugs; Children sicker in other parts of the world....Ask them next time they refuse. Bad.
