Dr. Kevin Mc Arthur White, MD

Dr White is excellent. He helped me so much with my anxiety.

I was directed to Dr. White's nurse practitioner, Candice Rugg, who unfortunately was just not up to the job. Besides being unprofessional she directed me to the wrong facilities for the tests she requested and I later learned that one of those tests is widely considered not relevant to my issue by medical professionals. I came in suffering from a mental health problem but instead of help I had my time and money wasted.

Dr. Kevin White is extremely disorganized and forgetful, and jumps to hasty conclusions. His reactions and responses indicate a lack of understanding of human situations in general, despite what his background and skill set on paper may suggest. I met with him briefly several months ago. Upon a cursory initial overview of my situation, he literally yelled at me during my second visit: "You've NEVER had ANY problems???!!!" he exclaimed. Those were his exact words. Perhaps I overshared in my initial visit. Indeed, Dr. White didn't seem to know how to interpret my situation. He was overly concerned, and quickly shifted into emergency mode, despite the fact that the events I was describing had taken place years prior. I suffer from PTSD and the resulting depression and anxiety. When I indicated my goal of becoming healthy and functional entirely without medications, he looked extremely alarmed and literally remarked, "absolutely not." Over the span of 4 visits, he never… remembered any of the medications I was on at the time, nor could he accurately recall any of the facts of my situation, much less what they indicated. While his resume may seem facially impressive, rather, Dr. White is an example of how prestigious academic institutions do not necessarily produce good physicians. For someone so well traveled and seemingly well-versed in a variety of cultures and backgrounds, his analysis and interpretations indicate a complete lack of understanding of human behavioral psychology whatsoever.

After working with three other psychiatrists, I nearly lost hope, but then I met Dr. White. He's a good listener and also has a sense of humorâ??something that cheers me up during our sessions. He will take time to explain things, and really cares about his patients. If you're intellectually curious, he can also go into great detail about your condition, so I consider him an excellent teacher as well. Highly recommend Dr. White, he's a hidden gem!
