Dr. Kevin Xiaofan Xue

I had four wisdom teeth removed, and the surgery itself seemed to go fine. Honestly though, that’s the only reason I gave him two stars instead of one. He was exceptionally rude through the consult, surgery appointment and when I had some concerns and wanted advice about increased pain a few days post-op. He was short with me, interrupted often, was condescending, and had forgotten multiple times that I had requested an alternate antibiotic to Amoxicillin. Advice: If you have other options, I would suggest a different doctor. But if you need to go to him, be prepared for rude (boardering on hostile) interactions, and to need to be paying extra close attention to what he’s giving you/prescribing if you have any specific allergies or needs.

Dr. Xue is all business. While I agree he doesn't have good bed-side manners, he knows what he is doing when it comes to extractions. I had nine teeth removed at once and lower dentures placed over the sockets the same day. I had stitches in all areas so it became very uncomfortable over the following days. He showed concerned about the bleeding and pain management. I refused pain meds and he clearly didn't like my choice. I have ibuprofen at home from my regular doctor, so I used that instead. He did give me amoxicillin to prevent infections. Yes, he is not a good listener, as I am allergic to latex and the tape he used blistered on my wrist where he put the IV in. He was not rude to me, but he doesn't like being questioned. From my experience so far, I would have like a little more preparation information as to what was going to happen, as I didn't expect so many stitches. He did seem to be in a hurry, but the weather was not so good that day and perhaps he wanted to go… home, as I did. I think if you show him respect, he would give respect.

If I could give no stars I would. Arrived to have my wisdom teeth and 2 others removed under sedation. I was advised by another dentist a few days prior to that anyone who touched me in the practice I had to tell them about my allergy to ephinephrine. He started to tell me about what he would being doing, and as soon as mentioned a medication I remembered and told him. He got very nasty and told me to let him finish what he was saying. When he finished he started interrogating me regarding why I can not have ephinephrine and what he is supposed to do if I can stop breathing or have an asthma attack, since the first thing he would do is give a shot of ephinephrine. I said do not give me the ephinephrine and call 911. He told me an ambulance takes 5 mins to arrive and asked again what he should do. I said go out and get my husband, clearly my husband would do something to save me because this guy wouldn't. He continued to ask me questions about when the last time I went to the hospital… in an ambulance, and other things. Then told me he wouldn't do anything until I used my rescue inhaler for my asthma. I was hooked to the blood pressure monitor and the pulse ox, and both were fine and I was not having any issues breathing. I told him no I didn't need to use it and I wouldn't. He then wanted to speak to my husband, why I'm not sure I assume because he's sexist. I told him I wasn't going to have the surgery and took all the wires and the blood pressure cuff off and walked out. Once in the waiting room I told my husband we needed to leave because the Dr didn't know how to call 911 if someone isn't breathing. Dr. Xue followed and proceeded to ask my husband what he should do if I stop breathing or have trouble breathing, he said call 911, you're a doctor you should know that. I proceeded to scream at him because my husband doesn't have the allergy or asthma, I do and I'm his patient. He said ok we will call 911 if you can't breathe... My husband repeated again, you are a doctor I would hope you know to call 911 if someone can't breathe, and Dr. Xue changed his tune. Not really sure what made me go back in that chair, but I let him complete the surgery. I will never go back to this practice again. Beware!!

Dr. Xue removed four wisdom teeth for my daughter today. During the consultation he was very patient and explained the procedure and process of what was going to happen the day of surgery. He answered all of our questions which were many. His recommendation was to remove all four wisdom teeth even though only one was causing discomfort. He went on to say that it was completely up to us as to the course of treatment. He said she could choose to go on as is with the discomfort, remove the one tooth that was causing discomfort, two, three, or four. There was no pressure and he would do whatever we were comfortable with. The only complaint is we had over an hour wait when we arrived for the free consultation. For the surgery we showed up about three minutes late, they got us right in and the procedure was complete and we were on our way home about an hour an 20 minutes after we arrived. If given the opportunity I would do business with Dr Xue in the future.

I went to Dr. Kevin Xue. I read his reviews and they said things like no bed side manner. In my experience he proformed a difficult surgery on me. I had no complications at all. He was very professional, no joking around. In his position I'm sure he has to tell people difficult news and its no place for kidding around. Dr. Xue took care of my issue with professionalism and experience. Hope this helps people with the difficult decission of choosing an Oral surgeon

I've had four teeth removed by Dr. Xue â?? two teeth at a time. He is a very kind and patient man. I had some apprehensions about using a sedative because I have a poor lung function, but we talked about it and everything went just fine. I would recommend him to friends, and I would (and did) choose this surgeon again.

He was very short and rude with me. I was supposed to be IV sedated, but I was fully awake, not even drowsy. I told him this and he said "just let me do my job." Afterwards I asked, while I was waiting for what little sedated feeling I had to go away, if second molar he removed gave him any trouble (it seemed like it took a while to come out), he responder "why does it matter, it's done. Guy was a complete d**k.

Dr. Xue seems to have done well on my husband's surgery (too soon to tell), but unfortunately he has no bedside manner and was extremely rude to me and my husband. He interrupted me multiple times, rudely putting his hand up to cut me off, and would not listen to my questions about post-surgery care. He only addressed my husband, even though he was only semi-conscious, and did not seem to take me seriously. Not sure if it was because I am a woman, but I would be willing to guess that was it. It is too soon to tell how he performed on the surgery, but I would not recommend him to anyone simply because of his horrid attitude toward patients and their families.

This Dr. was very rude, inconsiderate and condescending.It seemed like all he wanted to do was get out of the office in a hurry. I would rather pull my own teeth than see this man again. The rest of the staff that I and my family have encountered in the office have been lovely.
