Dr. Khalil Azem, MD

I have extreme ringing in the ears. I couldn't get an appointment with any dr. near me with the Cleveland Clinic, so waited several weeks to drive 40 min. to Dr. Azem. He is kind, but didn't have much to say. Looked in my ears and sent me to an audiologist. Did a hearing test. She told me what she found, went back to him. He basically said there is nothing that can be done. Maybe spent 5 minutes max in office. Got charged a total of $784 for the 5 minutes in his office and 15 with the audiologist. Insurance covers most - although I have to pay 300 as a deductible - the thing that is not fair is I have to pay double office visit copay since I saw him and he told me to get a hearing test - then had to pay the audiologist, not only for her service, but another copay. So, seriously if you have tinnitus, go to a local hearing aid place that does it for free.

The assistant was super nice and attentive. The Dr basically told me to basically live with recurring sinus infections and see him if I get sick again. I don't feel like he listened to me and let me explain my entire situation. Because I felt OK that particular day, he didn't want to hear anything else.
