Dr. Khoalinh Thieu Luong, MD

Dr. Luong seems rushed and doesn’t take the time to explain things well. She’s reluctant to provide an ultrasound of the baby and doesn’t seem to prioritize patient care. I wouldn’t recommend her.

Stay away from this doctor if you don't want be left miserable. I went in for a biopsy where a small sample of tissue is removed from uterus. After removing the tissue sample Dr. Loung decided on her on without my consent to remove additional tissue telling me "you'll feel much better after this". Boy was she so wrong! After this unplanned unconsenting procedure I had heavy bleeding next 12 days and counting. This doctor never told me what to expect and how bad it would get. I emailed the doctor about it and nurse called and told me the bleeding wasn't from the procedure. Next day I emailed again due to pain in my abdomen and asked the doctor to call me. Instead of the doctor calling me I get an email from the nurse with no help at all. The nurse was just putting up a wall. So frustrated, I called advise nurse and was on hold for 2 hours! I finally got through and was advised to go to ER. The ER doctor told me the bleeding was from the procedure. Remember Dr. Luong's nurse had said it… WASN'T from procedure. I was already extremely anemic, iron level was so low that I might need blood transfusion and my regular doctor told me to go to ER if I experience certain symptoms. 2 days after the ER visit my bleeding was not slowing down and went to urgent care where the attending doctor consulted with a different OB/GYN and prescribed a different medicine and now I'm beginning to see less bleeding. Dr. Loung did a procedure without my consent and failed to communicate what to expect afterwards and basically abandoned me when I asked for follow-up help. I have never posted a review before, but I felt compelled to share my awful experience so that no one else goes through it at the hands of Dr. Loung at Kaiser.

Amazing Doctor! Her professionalism and expertise made me feel safe while she took care of my condition! I felt she truly cared about my health and wellbeing. I'm loyally her patient if ever needed again.
