Dr. Kiarash Rowhanian, MD

Our elderly family member went to the ER over the weekend suffering from multiple, intense bug bites. He was escorted to a back room that had dirty sheets on the table. ER doctor Kiarash Rowhanian said he knew what to prescribe to help him but wouldn't prescribe the medication. When my elderly family member begged for something to help until he could see his primary care physician in the upcoming week, Dr. Rowhanian agreed to prescribe a medicated cream to help with the bites. Dr. Rowhanian then snickered, "good luck finding it in stock anywhere." He had purposefully prescribed a medication he knew pharmacies wouldn't have available! We confirmed this over the weekend while trying to get the prescription filled. Why Dr. Rowhanian would be so callous to a elderly gentleman's suffering escapes me. All in all, the ER at West Hills Hospital isn't as good a it used to be. Only one doctor could be observed actually serving patients, the rest, like Dr. Rowhanian, seemed more interested in… trying to look hip, like they were on a Reality TV show, and didn't give a fig about doing their jobs. Just because it's the weekend, doesn't mean employees in the ER shouldn't be serving sick and injured patients. Shame on West Hills Hospital ER, they need to send in experienced management, and stop embarrassing their facility.

He is the kindest, smartest doctor I have encountered.

He is compassionate and takes his time explaining the treatments.

Such a kind gentleman. He truly cares for his patient's well-being. The world would be a better place with more doctors like Dr. Rowhanian.
