Dr. Kim Elise Bowman, MD

Kim Bowman is right on as a physician. She cares, takes the time for all of her patients, I have been with her for 20 years and I am very pleased. She is very smart and certainly knows her medical...Plus!

She happened to be the "on call " physician for my normal Dr. I was having a horrible sinus infection with coughing up green phlegm and I wanted to get on Penicillin. Dr. Bowman seemed brusk on the phone with me..saying well if it's a "cold" Penicillin won't help. Hello?? Who said "cold" Dr.?? Not me! YOU did. I know once you see green it's bacterial and Penicillin can help. So then she says "Ok I will call in Amoxicillin" "Whats your Pharmacy?" Without taking a breath..Wow does she talk FAST. I said Hold on.. Amoxicillin gives me diarrhea. She said "They all do!" No I said. PenVK never gives me diarrhea. Then she said all in one breath very fast.. "Ok I will call in Penicillin..CVS Boston Post Rd? Ok Good bye." Then hangs up on me. Hangs UP on me. Are you kidding me?? I guess she is one of the MANY ego Dr.s that doesn't like a patient to tell her about how they know their own body better than she does..Heck she isn't even my Dr. I have never met her. What HORRIBLE bedside… manner. She should think of a different career. Seriously. If she is ever the on call MD again I would rather just go to the ER and sit there for 5 hours than to go thru her again. Oh and the "kicker"? I just saw the "Note" she wrote about me on the Patient Care Site.. She said I "demanded" Penicillin. What a liar! I didn't DEMAND it.. I REQUESTED it. Big difference. Wonder if she is board certified..Think I will have to pay the Board a call. BEWARE of this Dr. I would go anywhere else. Even MINUTE CLINIC is more accurate and nicer than Dr. Bowman.

Dr. Bowman is thoughtful, compassionate, She is also empathetic and gives her patients time to give their symptoms during her examinations. When explains her diagnosis she does it in understandable terms. She gives each patient the time to voice their questions, and concerns. After 25 years plus as my primary care physician, I can say, that for me her diagnoses has always been correct. It is so important to a patient to be able to maintain a good relationship and have trust in their Dr.'s judgement.

Dr. Bowman was my Doctor in Boston, I saw her after a terrible experience with HarvardHMO. She was great! She had a dry sense of humor, showed compassionate detachment. I moved away in 2001 and have only recently found a doctor I trust as much!

One of my favorite things about Dr. Bowman is that after my yearly physical she sends me a letter summarizing the visit. She lists some of the things I told her, which lets me know she really listened when I spoke, and she lists the pertinent physical findings. It's a really great reference to have, especially when preparing for the next physical exam or when talking to a specialist.

Dr. Bowman is thoughtful, gives the patient time to give their symptoms, questions, andconcerns. She does not talk at you, but listens. After many years, I can say that for me, her diagnoses have always been correct.

Dr. Bowman gives you time, attention and a breadth of expertise. She has been my doctor for over 20 years.
