Dr. Kim John Chillag, MD

I cannot imagine having anyone else perform my total knee replacements. Dr. Chillag was recommended to me by my longtime orthopedic doctor. I have a metal allergy and was concerned about that. Dr. Chillag took the time to make sure that the material being used would be fine. He is the absolute best surgeon with the best bed side manner.

Dr. Chillag did my left TKR 3 years ago. Nine days after the surgery, I was walking normally, no limping, and going down stairs one at a time. Five months after surgery, I was hiking in Ireland and Scotland. On my yearly checkup late last year, I complained about right hip pain and a weak right leg. He listened to me, asked questions, and ordered Xrays. To make a long story short, he referred me to a neurosurgeon, as he felt my symptoms and Xrays were more representative of lower spinal problems than the arthritis in my hip. Several months of physical therapy,retraining on how to walk and stand, and a steroid shot in my spine resolved these issues. Dr. Chillag could have just blown me off, but he took the time to listen to me and to refer me to a specialist who could help. I think he walks on water :-)

Dr. Chillag took care of my Mom's knee replacement and later a femur repair over 20 years ago and 2 weeks ago he performed my left knee replacement. In the years of experience we have always found him to be very knowledgeable in his field along with compassionate to his patients during their presurgery needs and recovery. Would highly recommend him.

within three months. The first one was done by Dr. Chillag at Richland Memorial. That one was okay. The second one was done at Baptist Hospital. That was the worst experience of my life. The scar looks like a hack job with cuts going every which way. Two years later it is still very sore. Baptist Hospital leaves a lot to be desired. A lot! Who really did the second knee replacement?

I just recently had a total knee replacement. Dr Chillag, his medical and admin staff were absolutely wonderful. I had to wait 6 months on the waiting list, but the level of care I received was well worth. One of the best knee surgeons in the world. Thank you to all who are associated with his team.

Dr. Chillag did my full knee replacement years ago and it is still so good and I am agile and no pain at all in that knee. Dr Chillag was kind, prompt and the best physician that I have ever been associated with. I highly recommend him.

I received a complete hip replacement, and the surgery couldn't have went smoother. Dr. Chillag is an excellent doctor and surgeon. When it comes time for my knee replacement, Dr. Chillag is the only doctor for me.
