Dr. Kim Leon Cox, MD

Dr. Cox delivered my first child. He was not the on call doctor for the hospital when I went into labor. When I told the nurse that I did not prefer to have the doctor that was there, Dr. Cox came during the middle of the night. My contractions were off and on throughout my labor and he patiently waited through them, never acting put off, until my baby was delivered. He is gentle, caring, and makes the moment you have your baby very special. Throughout my pregnancy he took the time to sit and explain in detail any questions/concerns that I had. I always felt very comfortable. While I did wait to see him many times in his office, it was always worth the wait. He is a busy man, but makes you feel like the priority once he sees you. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing an OBGYN. I am moving away and won't be having my second baby in state and am TERRIFIED to go to anyone else.

Having 3 high risk pregnancies, Dr. Cox was very helpful will all 3. He listened to any concerns and followed up with all of them. He was thorough with his testing and always let me know the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Cox to anyone having a baby.

Dr. Cox allowed me to do a VBAC for my second birth. He addressed my fears and explained things and let me make my choices, including that I didn't want to have an epidural. He made me feel like a person, not just a patient, and he listened to me every step of the way. I will forever be grateful for what he gave back to me-the opportunity to have a baby the way I wanted to.

Dr. Cox saved my wife's life. During her delivery, my wife's life became endangered due to unavoidable complications. He was the OB on call and I feel very fortunate he was. He came in the middle of the night, very tired, but worked very hard to diagnosis the problem. When it became apparent that surgery was necessary, he gave us as much information and support as possible in the short amount of time that was available. As a scared young father, he was very concerned with keeping me calm, comfortable and informed through a very stressful night. He was able to diagnose and correct the problems while in surgery, and was genuinely concerned and supportive during his follow-up visits. I feel very blessed by his knowledge, experience, skills and efforts.
