Dr. Kim Marie Lamotte, MD

I am new to the Las Vegas area and was a little concerned over finding a Pediatrician in Las Vegas. I originally was seeing another Pediatrician at first but they could not get me in quickly when my baby got sick. My insurance also listed Anthem Hills Pediatrics as a facility to go to. When I called them they got me in the same day. Dr. LaMotte's wait time was longer than anticipated, but I would happily wait again for her to see my child. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of my questions. The front desk were very friendly when I checked in and checked out. I'd highly recommend her to anyone and will see her again.

I have seen Dr. Lamotte since my 3-yr-old daughter was born. She was very accurate, thoughtful and decisive regarding various treatments for childhood maladies. She took the time to explain things and addressed any concerns that I had. She also followed up to ensure my child had fully recovered. The waiting time varies, however I feel it is worth my time and patience to see Dr. Lamotte. I would recommend her to all new mothers as well as continuing her services as a doctor until teenage years. I trust her with my child's life.

The worse doctor my family has been to. My son is allergic to certain antibiotics and it is well documented in his file, however, Dr. LaMotte prescribes a sister medication and says the "reaction" (which causes severe pain and a bleeding diaper type rash) is a parent's over-reaction and she demanded we continue the medication for another week. Our prior Dr. told us to DIS-continue immediately and prescribed a different medication that works. Dr. LaMotte said an ointment would help but will not call in the prescription until we bring our children back in for another office visit with another co-pay. She spoke so condescending to my wife and told her that my wife is not a doctor and wouldn't understand. I plan to report this (the total disregard to the patient's file and allergies) to the Nevada Medical Board. Be advised if Dr. LaMotte is your child's doctor and they are allergic to a medication, be careful and research the medication prescribed prior to dosing your child.

We were recommended Dr Lamotte by our school nurse. I took my oldest son there two times and my 15 month old once. At each visit, we waited over 45 minutes and our longest wait was 70 minutes. I was really disappointed with the visit for my son's 15 month old well baby checkup. We waited 25 minutes to be called into the exam room. Then, we waiting another 25 minutes in a small exam room see her (which is an eternity when you are carying your child in your arms because he's only in his diaper and you can't let him walk around). Each time we've seen her I felt like our visit was the one that she used to try and catch up with her lateness. The longest time she had spent with either of my kids was 10 minutes, and considering that was the visit where we first met her, you would think she'd want to ask more questions to get a better history. I feel like Dr. Lamotte was competant but the wait times are so horrific and I didn't feel like we were given much attention.
