Dr. Kim Christopher Mackey, MD

I began seeing Dr. Mackey as the result of a miscarriage and then another miscarriage. His patient care in regards to both of those situations was standoffish and cold and completely insensitive to the loss I felt. When I became pregnant again, during all my visits I had the distinct feeling that I was wasting his time. His answers to my questions were incomplete or ignored. After two miscarriages I was (I think understandably) concerned for my pregnancy and had lots of questions. Additionally, I was committed to VBAC after the birth of my first daughter and had a number of questions about that. Dr. Mackey behaved as though I had no right to ask or try to understand this birth experience and that he was steering the ship and things would be done his way. I was terrified at the thought of this man attending the birth of my baby. Thankfully for me, he moved to Platteville shortly before my due date and I was able to find compassionate care elsewhere. In truth, I should have sought… out another doctor after my first few appointments with him. That was my fault. I am sure that Dr. Mackey is a competent and qualified physician, but if you are feeling at all vulnerable about your pregnancy I urge you to go elsewhere. In my experience Dr. Mackey might be a good physician but he is NOT a caring physician. At least he was not caring towards me. I sincerely regret is not filing a complaint with his last employer.

gud stuff

It has been several years since I had a ablation procedure done with Dr. Mackey, but he was great. He was knowledgeable, he tried things before the ablation, but when all else failed he saw me right away. My daughter is recently is experiencing problems with cysts on her ovaries. She is reluctant to see a male Dr for this issue, but Dr Mackey made me feel comfortable and I was never embarrassed.

He is good at analysing the problem.I feel really comfortable.
