I “saw” Dr Pariseau via phone due to the pandemic. She seemed very distracted and would constantly drag out points she was trying to make or would pause between words before continuing her sentence. I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she’s just a detailed note taker. I noticed it seemed like she wasn’t actually listening to me due to her claiming to not know things that I had already told her. She also seemed to push seeing each other every other week even though I said every week that I’d like to talk once a week while I was on maternity leave. The final straw was during our last appointment when I heard her receiving and sending texts in the middle of our appointment. This lady is a joke.

She is incredible and helped me very much. I would suggest everyone to come to her.

Was referred by my insurance but they should take her off the insurance referral list, she doesn’t help. I’ve been coming to her for 4 months, because I’ve been telling myself, okay maybe I just need to give her another chance, she hadn’t help me emotionally. She’s very careless about her clients to be honest. I had ask her questions and all she would say is “ go out, distract yourself” like if I haven’t heard that from like 30 people already . I expected way more of her. Plus she’s been late to 2 of my appointments already. My time is limited , if I’m here on time, so should she.

In 2015 she was one of my insurance providers sent me to. My child was in a serious depression. I took my child to her and Pariseau would repeatedly forget who my child was. As if my child didn’t feel invisible already. When my child wanted to commit suicide I called Pariseau instead of sounding corncern for my child’s well being she advised me since a session would be missed I would get charged a no show fee. I made a grievance with my insurance but it was her word against mine and my insurance believed her that she was unaware my child was in the hospital. Even though Pariseau was the one that told me to call the police to get her admitted. It was a nightmare and she didn’t bother to ever call me to see how my child was doing. Granted this was on 2015 but as I rummage through my paperwork and came about the grievance I wrote to my insurance company I felt obligated to comment on my experience. I took my child to another therapist and with intensive therapy for my child and I, my… child is doing very well now and has used that experience to grow for a better future. Good luck to all the parents who are going through teen depression/problems.
