Dr. Kim Mischeal Raney-Ciofani, MD

Dr. Raney was terrible. In the midst of a family crisis, she treated us despicably and never followed up the night we went to Riverside Hospital. We also noticed her demeanor was even less courteous towards the black family in the room next to us. Her reputation in Columbus is poor. Will try to avoid her at all costs.

I'm certain she has a lot of malpractice suits against her. I came in with facial paralysis and she told me I need to see a therapist. I guess I willed Bells-palsey symptoms 2x now.

My husband was showing signs of a stroke so we rushed him to the Westerville Medical Campus ER. Not having any family in town or friends to rely on for emotional support , we were terrified of what was happening. After almost an hour of not being seen, Dr. Kim Raney walks into the hospital room, looks my husband over for about a minute and then tells us he is simply having a bad migraine. My husband couldn't speak at the moment due to pain and slurring of his speech (the complex migraine was impacting him that bad) so I asked her in the most sincere manner possible if my husband would be OK. We had never heard of a complex migraine before. Not only was she speaking incredibly loud and acting curt, she turns to me on her way out the door (having only spent a total of 2 minutes maybe with us) she says "We'll that's a loaded question. I mean. What do you think?" She scoffed at me as she said this, made me feel pitiful and helpless and simply walked out the door. Never checked in on us… again. Dr. Raney must be a physician they use in desparate times because when speaking with 2 other patient's families in the waiting room, they too experienced the deplorable behavior and unintelligible woman that is Kim Raney. It would behoove her and the institution that employs her to take a lesson in bedside manner or quit. No patient, especially when in such a vulnerable state, should never have to be treated so despicably. It's called health care for a reason. But not for Kim Raney.

Bich is too nice an adjective for her! She has no business practicing medicine! The hospitals that employ her are well aware of her abusive language and behavior, yet continue to allow her to treat patients. So much for the WE of Ohio Health! A shame the rating scale doesn't allow for negative integers. A rating of 1 is even too high for her!
