He made a huge mistake during my sister's surgery and it cost her her life and me a sister and still acted arrogant. Please never go to this quack!

I had a back fusion in 07 and i have been dealing with severe back and leg pain ever since. I also have been dealing with pain management doctors since the surgery something i we under the impression would be in the rearview mirror after my back fusion that he sold me hook line and sinker . I was told that i could get a laminotomy or fusion but if i got the laminotomy i would be back in a year or 2 for the fusion... so i did the fusion so i could get my life back but the dream i was sold was quickly becoming a nightmare . As soon as the surgery that should have took 4 hrs but lasted 7hrs was done and i awoke i was in so much pain ... yes the pain got under control with pain meds and 3 days i walked enough to get discharged home. Months went by with very little pain relief and when i complained that my pain wasn't getting better they kicked me out to pain doctors. And ever since the surgery i have been seeing a pain doctor every single month... the whole reason i had the surgery was to… get back my life and im now disabled and taking pain meds for the foreseeable future...oh and i need another surgery on the levels above my fusion... and also dealing with the Lawsuit for Medtronics/Infuse bone growth hormone that Dr Fuiks used in my fusion surgery. I feel like I got used as a paycheck and not as a patient ... nothing like being kicked when your down... good luck to all that have to deal with pain...I know ...Im there.

My husband had seen numerous surgeons because of a life long back problem. He had already had 2 prior back surgeries and being the age of 43, no one wanted to go in and do another surgery. Having 4 kids our options were life-long pain pills along with disability. Mind you, my husband had been very active after his last fusion and was pain free. He told the doctors there is something wrong, that he believed it was not degeneration. Friends of our, encouraged us to see Dr. Fuiks for an opinion. We thought why not? what could it hurt us that another one told us we have no options. From the first phone call, to his nurse Theresa, and then to Dr. Fuiks we were blessed. He was thorough, he took the time to explain and he went above and beyond to make sure that his interepretation and his plan was the right one. He inquired with a team of doctors at bigger hospitals to see if we were on the right path. All of them made the plan together and stood by us through the whole procedure and… followup. For the first time in 1-1/2 years we are pain med free (what a miracle). He has given us our life back. We could never repay Dr. Fuiks and Theresa back, they are a wonderful team.

I feel Dr. Fuiks saved my life. I had a pituitary macroadenoma. A previous doctor only gave me a 50% chance of successful surgery. When we visited Dr. Fuiks, we discovered that he had done 150 of these surgeries and no complications in the last 8 years. He did my surgery and it was very successful. I feel he is extremely competent, knowledgeable and conscientious. I have regular followup with him and his staff treat me like family. I would recommend Dr. Fuiks to anyone that has a neurological problem.

I would highly recommend Dr. Fuiks. I had a pituitary macroadenoma and subsequent surgery by Dr. Fuiks, 2 years ago. He has been following me ever since. He has been very thorough, caring and knowledgeable regarding me and my situation. I value his opinion and trust him completely.

Not a God, Just thinks he is.A doctors office sent me, because it was one of the only places that I could get into ASAP, I found out why the hard way.I went in for my appointment, knowing I would need MRI and X-Rays, my primary had me have all my imaging done before I went for my appointment. I was the first appointment of the day. I still waited an hour. I got to hear the doctor yell for help. Could not open the disc I brought, which should not be a big deal, he had access to the imaging centers database from his PC. Getting to hear him yell at staff was unprofessional.Anyway, finally get in, and got a thorough review. Points at my MRI, and used some big words to describe what was wrong. I asked to break it down to layman terms so he did. I have two bulging discs, he wants to operate. I was a tad, shocked. I never had surgery and was not expecting that. He quickly gave me a quick explanation, which seemed like a sales pitch that he had given a middle time.He then said think… Christopher Reeves that one good bump from a car accident, or whatever life could throw my way and Bang, youre quadriplegic I found this disconcerting and unprofessional. Did someone do a study where people of my age, and condition where lined up and pushed off walls or horses???? Anyway, sent me to PT, which aggravated my condition, came back another AM appointment that I waited an hour in the waiting room again. Finally saw him and he really pushed the surgical option like he needed to finance a new summer home or fancy car. When I said I needed to think about it, he seemed insulted. I asked for some pain killers until my next appointment. I was given the choice of darvaset, or Tylenol with codine, which to me seemed like a slap in the face. He said if I was not going to take his recommendation seriously, he would not reward me. Since he minimized my pain, I sought a second opinion. Where the found things he missed, and other points they completely disagreed with.

went in and had 3 operations at the same time. Fusion lami and caged...am pain free for 5 years back to work in 3 months..

My husband has a pituitary adenoma. Dr. Fuiks spent 1 1/2 hours with us explaining the surgery which he will do. We were VERY PLEASED with his professionalism, knowledge, and the art of putting us at ease with reassurance which we really needed. We feel very hopeful that the surgery has an excellent chance of being successful.
