Kimberly Brown, APRN, FNP-BC

Kimberly Brown, APRN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in Pulmonology at UT Health East Texas. She believes in caring for her patients in the same way she would want her family to be treated. “I like to treat all of my patients like they are my family or good friend. I want them to understand their disease process and any treatments that they are undergoing and I want them to share in joint decision making. I want them to feel safe and that they can ask me any questions that they have about their care,” she said.Primarily she provides care for patients as adults, but can see children as well. It is important to Kim that her patients to feel that I am truly interested in them as a person. “I wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember and really enjoy helping others. I enjoy learning the body processes regarding disease and medication treatment.”When not treating patients, she enjoys crafting, being outside, animals, nature and growing flowers.
