Dr. Kimberly Leona Johnson, MD

Kimberly Johnson has been my grandmother’s primary care doctor for some time now, and her handling of my grandmother’s ongoing knee issues has been extremely disappointing. Despite regular visits every six months, she has done nothing but repeatedly refer my grandmother to other providers without taking real action herself. As a primary care physician, she has a responsibility to actively manage her patients’ health — not pass them off without proper care or follow-up. Because of her lack of attention and failure to advocate for my grandmother’s needs, my grandmother has now been hospitalized twice. This level of neglect is completely unacceptable, especially from someone entrusted with primary care. I would not recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who will genuinely prioritize their patients' well-being.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to Dr. Johnson based off a recommendation. I addressed very specific concerns regarding tightness in my hands as well as inflammation in my joints. I'm not sure what arthritis might feel like, so I asked if it could be diagnosed. She pretty much said "it was what it was"....um, okay. My hands get so tight I can no longer ball them into a fist. At the time I was not even 40, so I thought this was unusual. I then let her know that I was sure I had Raynaud's, a disease where your extremities change color and turn cold in lower temps, sometimes not that low). The entire time I was telling her that I found it odd that my fingers would turn blue, even in air conditioned rooms and how painful it was, she looked at me with this incredulous look on her face, I'm not kidding. She then proceeds to go back to her office, print out the "actual" symptoms of what Raynauds is, and told me because I didn't have lesions or blisters on my fingers, I didn't have… Raynauds. Look. I work with my hands. My hands turn blue in temps below 70 degrees. I have Raynauds. Her visit turned me off from seeing another doctor for a year. When I did see a new internist, she immediately made me get a autoimmune panel, because of my mom's history, but also because....I have Raynauds. After seeing her and a dermatologist I was diagnosed with not one...but TWO autoimmunde diseases. One of which is pretty horrible...with symptoms being exactly what I described, skin tightness, inflammed joints and.....RAYNAUDS DISEASE! anyway, just be cautious of doctors who don't believe what you say, your life is really in their hands.

Dr. Johnson is one of the best doctors I've partnered with in a very long time. She listens attentively to all of my concerns and works with me to develop a perfect wellness program. I have recommended several friends and family members to her. She's awesome!!!
