Dr. Kimberly Anne Mullin, MD

My pregnancy journey was extremely rough. I had highly severe (HG) Hyperemesis Gravidarum - full nine months up to the point of delivery. I was a patient back in the days when she was in partnership with Janus & Patel – both were great, but I had to deal with Mullin about 90% of the time, unfortunately. She would imply it was all in my mind or mind over matter type of thing. It was not. Her bedside manners needed improvement and having a scary, rough pregnancy with a doctor that is not on your side makes the whole situation much worse. This was back in the mid-90s. There is more HG information and resources today. She did order IV therapeutics & vitamin drips, PICC line, meds, etc, and always checked on me during my hospital stays (there were many, and long term) during my pregnancy. Patel seemed more aggressive with care and kept me in the hospital long-term for the last couple of months until delivery. He delivered my beautiful, healthy son. Perhaps Mullin was frustrated that… I was not getting better, but she did not come across supportive in temperament and I felt isolated and burdensome under her specific care.

I was seen for a total of 3 visits with my new pregnancy. 1st visit I waited over an hour to be seen. Then I was completely rushed in the room and was not able to have all of my questions answered. I figured I would give it another shot. 2nd visit was for my ultrasound, again I waited over an hour. on my 3rd and last visit, the nurse brought me into a dirty room, then asked me why I was here? She didn't even know I was pregnant. Instead of having my chart reviewed or in her hand, she instead had copies of my current balance. She had me review them in the room. The Dr NEVER saw me, only the nurse. when going to leave, again they made me review payment. Not one time in my 3 visits did I feel like anyone actually cared about my well being or health of my child. I would never go back, don't even waste your time.

This is my first pregnancy. I had a lot of questions. I had a lot of concerns. I wanted to spend at least a few minutes speaking about them as I know absolutely nothing about pregnancy. She came in and did my pap and pelvic exam SUPER abruptly and left. Came back in to show me a folder of pamphlets and ramble off information that I will never remember. I tried to ask questions and she spoke over me. I asked her if I could have the results of everything when she got them (blood and urine) and she said to wait until my next appointment which is 3 and a half weeks later. I at least want to know I am actually pregnant.. the least of these problems was the 40 minute wait before my appointment. I was not a new patient and arrived 20 minutes early for any paperwork I may have had to do. I will be finding another doctor as this appointment left me feeling nervous and unsure.

I have never had a good experience with Dr. Mullin. I have waited at least 45 minutes before an appointment. To make it even worse, I am stuck waiting in the room with a gown on, not even in the waiting room (to let you know I ALWAYS schedule the first appointment of the day. I have no idea how she is already backed up at 8:15 am). I had an experience with an abnormal pap smear. I was told that I needed to have a procedure to check for cancer and they weren't able to get me in for at least 3 weeks. When I went, I was nervous and anxious for the procedure/results and did not get much care or reassurance. Likewise, she never called to give me the results of the procedure, which she mentioned looked like HPV. Dr. Mullin has also never inquired about my sexual experiences. I thought it was normal for doctors to ask about protection, amount of partners, STD tests, etc. and she never once has brought up these topics to me. I also have a very difficult time getting prescriptions. I use… Express Scripts and for some reason there has always been an issue. For example, I went in to get my yearly birth control and I go to find out that she only prescribed me 3 months worth. Many people like that she is a "get in and get out" kind of doctor. However, I think that this mentality leads to a lot of miscommunication and inability to get questions appropriately answered.

I love dr mullin. I've been going to her for over 6 years. She was wonderful with all 3 of my high risk pregnancies. I trust her and appreciate she takes the time to talk to me. My only dislike is the wait time in her office.

Dr Mullin is a great doctor and surgeon. I tried for two years to get pregnant and went to two doctors before seeing her. She helped me get pregnant within 3 months!! The first month, she tested me for many things to find out exactly what was going on and why I couldn't get pregnant. Once we found out what needed to be done and what blood type I was, I got pregnant 2 months later. She has a great focus on infertility! If your trying to get pregnant, give her a try. I have no doubt she will do everything she can to help you! She is a great doctor and I highly recommend her!

Terrible doctor. Wait time is over an hour. Doesn't give you what you ask for or listen to you. I asked for a specific type of birth control and she gave me something different. It gave me so many problems and a tumor. I'm done with her and going to someone who will listen to me!

Misdiagnosed me. Saw another physician who promptly and correctly diagnosed me for a problem she didn't investigate after repeated visits. She's rude and arrogant. I'm so happy I left her care!

I am a FTM and would always wait at least 40+ minutes each time. She would only spend 5 minutes in the room with me and every time I had to remind her where we were in the pregnancy like if I had already taken the GD test, etc. I left her practice at 30 weeks because I didn't feel comfortable even talking about a birth plan with her. Her NP, Margie, has way better bedside manners than Dr. Mullin.

I'm just looking out for women for their own health and safety with pregnancy. I had a coworker who had a spot on her cervix and Dr. Mullin wouldn't answer questions, so she went to another gyno who had to give her immediate surgery. Dr. Mullin wouldn't. I went to her because for years with her I had problems with pregnancy and all she did was made me go to her more and more with no answers. I had to go to another gyno to get my health back in shape. Any woman who cares about her health deserves a gyno who will give you that. Dr. Mullin is a waste of time. Please, if you care about your body and health, have a gyno who cares
