Dr. Kimberly Keiko Takahashi, MD

this doctor needs to and should be held accountable for not upholding the oath she took, for consistently misleading and the misconduct, and medical malpractice with her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Takahashi for many years. My family practice doctor sent me to her to check for possible prostate cancer. The biopsy was nearly painless due to her expertise at the procedure. I suffered for years from and enlarged prostate and she performed the TURP procedure. She did an excellent job and I have had complete relief from symptoms for more than two years. She has always been cheerful and friendly and concerned about my general health. I highly recommend her as a urologist.

Dr.Takahashi is an ok doctor who thinks she's the best. Takahashi was my father's doctor, and She has helped him in the past, but when there was a problem she couldn't fix she washed her hands from the issue. My father suffered for a year until we finally left kaiser. When we finally saw another doctor he said the issue was with his enlarged prostate and performed a laser procedure. Now his pain is gone. None of this was ever mentioned with Dr.Takahashi. So if Takahashi serves you well, continue with her. But if you are suffering and she isn't helping, see another doctor, because there are better doctors out there.

This woman is COMPLETELY UNFIT FOR THE MEDICAL PROFESSION. She is utterly lacking in bedside manner. Several weeks ago I had the awful experience of interacting with her when I suddenly became extremely ill for the first time ever with a 7 mm kidney stone slammed up against my bladder, wedged in my ureter, causing 7 agonizing trips to the ER in 1 week. (My husband and I had recently moved out of the kaiser network area, and were making medical trips until arrangements could be made for a new provider. )She was demanding and punitive in her tone about this, and basically just told me to take a number, and wait a week and a half longer, because, well, there were lots of other people writhing in pain in front of me. This is a very insecure person with the petulant, vindictive and bratty attitude of a spoiled child. At one point while I was in extreme pain, she actually seemed to take pleasure in describing that a surgeon would likely find a puss filled, nasty infection above the stone,… and not be able to remove the stone. She then chuckled. My husband and I had a good laugh together at her expense when we listened, aghast, at her high pitched rapid fire rantings on the phone. We could not believe we were actually listening to a doctor! Just do yourself a favor and get your care somewhere else... like from someone who CARES.

She is hands down the worst Dr I have ever seen. She was rude, impatient and took any question I gave her as an insult to her knowledge. She is arrogant, pushy and acted like I was imposing on her day. She should not be working with the general public let alone work with patients. Save yourself time and pic another Dr.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Takahashi today and I could not be more pleased or surprised. The doctor spent twenty minutes answering all my questions in detail. She was very professional and detailed. Her manner is open and friendly. I came to the appointment with a list of questions/concerns and the doctor discussed and answered all of them . I did not feel hurried and left the appointment with a good understanding of all my options . In short, I found Dr. Takahashi excellent . Oh, the reason for the appointment was to discuss my elevated PH numbers and to discuss my upcoming biopsy.

If I could give Dr. Takahashi no stars, I would. She is very arrogant, does not have a caring attitude, and does not listen. I have a PSA that has fluctuated over the last 8 years or so. Sometimes it is slightly elevated, sometimes not. I have no symptoms. Since my primary care doctor seemed to have no interest in doing a digital rectal exam, I was referred to Dr. Takahashi. All she wanted to do was a prostatic biopsy. No digital exam, no urine sample. At my insistence, she did a digital exam. She spent 2 seconds doing the actual palpation and said all was normal. And, if I didn't want a biopsy she couldn't spend any more time with me. Both my wife and I are health care professionals, we know what is right and kind medical practice. If you have a choice of urologists, stay away from this one.

Dr Takahashi is very arrogant and unwilling to listen to patients. I have suffered with prostate problems for 4 years. I went to my regular physician and he did an exam and felt a large mass on my prostate. he quickly sent me to urology the same day. Dr. Takahashi saw me and examined me and found nothing. she said that my general physician was wrong and there was nothing wrong with me. she tried to put me on flow max and send me home. i argued my point that I know my body and there was something wrong with me. she would not listen until she finally conceded to order some more test condescendingly saying you are going to get what you asked for. a few weeks later further test found a large cyst on my prostate. If i would have listened to her i would have never found the cyst. Dr Takahashi is not a doctor that will listen to the patient and really try to understand what is happening with a patient. i would never use her for my doctor and recommend people stay away from her.
