Dr. Kirk Joseph Hutjens, MD

I always found Dr. Hutjens to be caring, inquisitive and sensitive to this patient. Apparently he is no longer with this practice and I feel the loss at a time in my life (81 years) when I am an at-risk patient. I have tried to find if he is practicing in town but so far have had no luck in locating him. Any time I have displayed unfamiliar symptoms he has gotten on line right away to see if he could find any more history from other practices. My wife and I regret his absence.

This is the most uncaring, unresponsive, insensitive doctor I've encountered in all my decades. Focused on admin and his laptop. Don't show any emotion or he will jump all over you! Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this very inhospitable practice.

Excellent physician. Truthful and accurate information. Genuine concern for patient health and well-being.

bedside manner is horrible. He seems to get irritated with you if you dare to actually have symptoms. He mostly looks at the computer (I understand this is somewhat mandated these days). my healthy husband thought he was fine but if you are a women with health issues, no, no, no. I'm never going back. The best he does for me is check and see if my thyroid level is within normal range. I asked about inflammation levels in the body and he said to see a rheumatologist, but no Aurora rheumatologist will see a fibromyalgia patient. He didn't listen to my suggestion for altering my anti-depressant and gave me something that overstimulates my nervous system sending me into a 6 mo. fibro flare. I am very unhappy.
