Dr. Kirk J Shilts, DC

Please do not go to Chiropractor Kirk J Shilts. He is talkative, and seemingly harmless at first. However, he will find subtle ways to be sexually inappropriate to you during your visit. Firstly he asked me to remove my shirt and put on a gown. This is not common and the room he put me in had a big glass window leading into the office that he was currently in while I changed that he could easily see into. He found various reasons to touch my butt during the appointment. These reasons ranged from pretending to adjust my gown, repositioning me, even saying he was wiping something off my yoga pants. He repeatedly pulled down my yoga pants to put his bare hands on my hips under my yoga pants during adjustments. This is not common and is inappropriate. He also had me bend over in front of him while he was sitting. He pulled me close enough to him that I was touching his knees and he kept his hand on my hips and under my gown. I asked two different chiropractors and they said that is… not normal and feels very sexual in nature. During this appointment he asked me detailed questions about my relationship with my husband and why I didn’t have kids. He also made comments about how I look like I’m very flexible and about how I must like adjustments even if their painful. Not to mention that him and I were the only two people in the entire office. No staff, no patients. I have never been so uncomfortable and scared. Between being alone with him, his invasive and uncomfortable personal questions, his comments on my body, and his overt sexual touching during non-adjustment moments, I genuinely felt like I was being preyed upon and needing to leave the appointment as quickly and safely as possible. I am only writing this because I’m scared for the safety of any other person who is his patient that he might do this to. There are so many other Chiropractors in Boston.. Please just pick a different one.
