Dr. Kirsten Elizabeth Nelson, MD

One of the worst things about moving to a new city is finding new doctors. It's hard to just trust anyone with your kids health. Dr. Kirsten Nelson brought peace to my mind as well as my kids. She was very friendly and made sure that all of our concerns were answered. I also love how she conversed directly with my daughter and spoke with her in a way that made her very comfortable. Most of the staff there are very friendly as well, smiling and saying hello when we walked in, it definitely made us feel welcome. I also like the fact that ABC Pediatrics is part of a bigger group called Mountain View Medical Group. This group has offices all over the Colorado Springs area. They do all their charting electronically so if we need to be seen in a different office, our charts are available where ever we go. I am very fortunate to have found such a great group of doctors and staff on my first try.

Dr. Nelson has taken care of our children for 3 years now and she is absolutely amazing. She is calm, thorough and puts our children at ease. She is the best, most thorough and compassionate of pediatricians. We would highly recommend her and her excellent staff - from the people who answer the phone quickly to the nurses who give shots - they are compassionate and caring.

We love Dr. Nelson! She is the ONLY reason we continue to go to ABC Pediatrics.The office staff are all rude, grumpy, and inefficient. They are always rude and short on the phone. Checking in and out is always a disaster. No one seems to know what they're doing and aren't helpful at all. Dr. Nelson is very sweet, spends time with us and doesn't make us feel rushed like most other Dr's do. Our son always giggles and feels at ease during his visits which helps us feel better. She is very through and answers ALL of our questions. We love her1

I would never let this women near my child again. She, in my opinion, has absolutely no reason to be a pediatrician. She treated myself and my husband as though we had no right to get a confirmation with another doctor to verify her diagnosis. In fact she responded by our concerns with contacting DHS so that we could not get our child transfered to be seen by a more experienced professional.
