I came in for my annual exam at the beginning of the year and was thrilled to see that Dr. Bertakis has returned to the Family Medicine Clinic full-time. She was my physician decades ago but since went on to administration and teaching work. This is someone who puts the "family" in family doctor-- she greets you like you're a family member, takes a personal interest in your wellness, and actually makes going to the doctor as pleasant as it could be. I would always leave feeling well-informed. Highly recommended.

Condescending and arrogant.

Preferred to talk me out of allergy testing for several years instead of allowing the testing so I could manage it with lifestyle choices instead of OTC drugs. Advised pap smears every 3 years; medical office wouldn't allow me to see her as primary care physician anymore since I didn't request an appointment with her for more than 2 years! Even though Dr. Bertakis specializes in good bedside manner, I'm very dissatisfied with the admin staff/rules.
