Dr. Kofi Kessey, MD

I can't bring myself to call this man a doctor. My husband was put in his care, I can't call it care. He was on the table and under for 12 hours, the procedure states 6 hours. He claimed there was an equipment failure. There is no documentation of this. My husband's care missed minimum standards in so many ways. In California where he came from there is public court records that show the peer review committee had issues with him more than once. Buyer beware on this guy. There are laws now that are supposed to keep families out of court. I was told to get a lawyer by the hospital patient advocate. This man stole my future, my husband, our retirement years and apparently no one is accountable unless I want to have my husband's character and my own attacked. He was 48 and obese. totally a reason to double the time under the table when they weren't even operating. Who has even heard of that? Frankly if a completely fit man was given that care, they would also be dead.

I think that Dr. Kessey is an excellent doctor, I would highly recommend him. He answers all of your questions honestly and to the best of his ability. I would come back to see him again if I had to get the same surgery done. Staff and the office are all amazing and treat you very good. They are all a very good team and work well together.

I just want to start with a quick description of my symptoms/experiences prior to Dr. Kessey’s assistance. I also want to point out that I am typically hesitant with doctors. For about 6 months I was “sleeping” (or trying to…) on the the floor with my dog. I would brush my teeth while on my knees, in between short periods of standing, every morning. I felt determined to get through pain pretty much all through each day, but found no relief, and ultimately felt pretty consistently angry. Eventually, I started to miss time at work and essentially gave up. I reached out to Dr. Kessey. Now, after receiving his help I feel like a different person. I feel like I can get back to doing the things that I want to do. I can rebuild my body and life. That being said, I am writing this review to also do my best to compliment his demeanor as a person, his sense of humility, his bed side manner and his personality as a whole. For his conversations, guidance and ultimately his skill in the… operating room I will be forever grateful. Thank you Dr. Kessey.

Excellent outcome for spinal fusion and laminectomy surgery. Dr. Kessey explained, in detail, the whole procedure and answered all my questions. Both Dr. Kessey and Teri were extraordinarily kind and encouraging during the Post Op period and I would thoroughly revommend this team.

I highly recommend Dr. Kessey. He successfully removed a tumor from my brain and masterfully closed the wound so the scar is fading nicely. He thoroughly explained the procedure, answered all questions, and aftercare is equally satisfying. Dr. Kessey has excellent 'bedside manners'. He spends as much time as needed with me. His assistant, Terri, offers support for patients and is a direct-line to Dr. Kessey. She is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Excellent care from both of them!

Dr Kessey and staff provided excellent support for my cervical discectomy surgery. They are caring and spend as much time with you as you need before and after the surgery, The surgery went perfectly too. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kessey performed complicated spinal surgery on me about 13 months ago. I visited him today to review the xrays taken last week which confirmed the surgery was entirely successful. I give him 5 stars.

I have seen a lot of doctors for my complex back issue, but Doctor Kessey was the best to help me move forward with my chronic pain without just telling me I needed surgery, his office staff has been fantastic just so helpful.

Dr. Kessey explained my lower spine problem in a very understandable, compassionate, and calming way. I felt confident im him after our first meeting. They scheduled me for surgery shortly after pre-opt test. Surgery was totally successful. Post-op appointment were very helpful. being very helpful and compassionate to my future activities.
